Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 is now available for select models

Thanks for the confirmation. I'm familiar with the process, and quite enjoy it in a stressful, anxiety inducing kind of way if you know what I mean. I regularly check here for new release announcements but was hesitant based on the feedback for the past several versions. I love keeping things...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 is now available for select models

I'm looking to upgrade from 386.4 on my RT-AX86U, and although my particular setup shouldn't have any issues, curious if someone can still confirm stability of a simple setup of Skynet and one device tunneled through VPN Director on 388.2? Or is 386.7_2 (or any other version) preferred? We work...

Are there any *reall* free / reliable vpns out there?

I pay $15 for 6 months with TorGuard. You can't swing that?

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

Thank you. I might just turn it back on then.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

@thelonelycoder Sorry just to clarify. Diversion can work in tandem with uBlock Origin and its learning function will not be affected at all?

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

Same experience here. Ended up disabling it and going back to uBlock Origin. Appreciate the effort though of course, and hoping it becomes foolproof in the future.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I'm seeing the same "no YouTube temp file found" message every minute and ads are not being blocked. Both 173.194.28.9

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

Just enabled. First ad was for a balls trimmer :p Don't know why I found that appropriate and funny. Anyway, thank you so much @thelonelycoder :)

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.17 (and 384.13_8) are now available

As @Butterfly Bones suggested enable SSH and restart the GUI. Our RT-AC86U has done this a few times on 384.13. I think it's one of this router's 'quirks'.

amtm amtm - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu

Not sure if this has already been fixed, but I just ran the update and it went fine with no errors.

Asus RT-AC68U cannot handle 1000 Mbps IPTV connection

I don't know if you're referring to AT&T Fiber, but we have their Gigabit service and I was getting ~940 Mbps up/down with the RT-AC68U. I use a VPN so soon after switched to a RT-AC86U, which has been a much welcomed improvement all-around. The 68U was good, but the 86U is worth the upgrade.

    RT-AC86U 5GHz Automatically Disables?

Haha going by feel. OG move  No config file used. I never do that anyway; seems like a bad idea. I haven't really made any changes since initial setup except changing the DHCP pool start address for pixelserv. So I've taken an if it ain't broke, don't fix it approach. I admit some of...

    RT-AC86U 5GHz Automatically Disables?

Well there you have it, I'm going to do that and report back :) Is there something in the log that points to a misconfiguration? Unlike my previous routers, I only flashed one firmware on this out of the box which was 384_13. Did a reset and initialize through the GUI before and after and that...
