    Asus RT-AC88U weird disconnection issue

This is currently happening for me on my desktop computer. I thought it was the onboard wifi so I bought and connected a wifi adapter. Same issues. And only on my desktop on both 5ghz and 2.4ghz. It's maddening.

    [Alpha] RT-AC88U Firmware version 9.0.0.4_380_2339

Same for me as well. Love this thing. Always super fast and goes on for days and days without any issues. For once I'm not tweaking my network, I have no real reason to do so. Sent from my ONE E1005 using Tapatalk

    RT-AC88U

Can't you just use an adaptor? The power supply should be fine for the entire world, it's just the prongs that change. I have a US power supply with an EU adaptor. Works perfectly. Sent from my ONE E1005 using Tapatalk

AC88U 3.0.0.4.380_1354 does not resolve local dhcp names

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm having the same problem, my Windows machine works but my Mac and Linux machines do not. I thought I was just doing something wrong so I set up the hosts file on my computer to resolve the names instead. Not ideal but it works for now. Sent from my ONE E1005...

    AC88U Link aggregation

I feel like a complete noob. I didn't realize I had to set-up the bond on my Synology NAS, I just thought 2 IP's were normal. Thanks for this!

    RT-AC88U

I actually don't see it. Mind actually linking to the post directly? Like this: http://www.snbforums.com/threads/rt-ac88u.27704/page-39#post-237649

    RT-AC88U

I'm no expert but it's supposed to be a "special" vpn that can more quickly connect you to game servers and bring your ping times down. What I see it as is additional bloatware ASUS continues to add to their router firmware instead of concentrating on more important things. There's a reason...

    RT-AC88U

That was it, I was testing over wifi only. I did a wired test and the speeds seemed slower than normal. Back to 1354 (what I was using before) and everything seems normal again.

    RT-AC88U

I assume you did a factory reset and reset up all your settings right? Works great for me and although I don't have a gigabit connection my connection speeds staid the same.

    RT-AC88U

Bought my RT-AC88U a few weeks ago but I finally got to set it up (vacation) a little less than a week ago. I'm extremely impressed and satisfied with this thing. The performance and speed I'm getting are consistently fantastic. Coming from the AC-87U it's really a breath of fresh air. More and...

    RT-AC88U

After all the issues I had it just felt "dirty" so I had to sell it. I know it's completely unreasonable and the hardware itself was actually quite good with questionable wireless drivers/sdk. But for me and I guess a lot of people once hardware fails you and there's a nice new shiny box to...

    RT-AC88U

I hate you guys for making me buy a new expensive router just 6 months after buying the AC87U. My AC87U is actually running great on the new firmware but after my previous troubles I guess I was easily convinced. Now, fingers crossed this one lasts me a few years. Edit: Also the price is...

    Help with iptables (IPTV Routing)

Makes sense. Looks like XS4ALL went a different route for apps and stream the content over the internet as my Android Phone and other devices stream IPTV content without any special set-up. Even if I could, I'd probably stay away from IPTV on my Samsung Smart TV as it's anything but smart. More...

    Help with iptables (IPTV Routing)

Cool. So I have a question then (sorry if this is annoying). Currently I have the STB from the provider running through the method I explained. I also have a Samsung Smart TV connect to the network via WiFi. So they're completely separate. Are you saying you could get IPTV directly on the...

    Help with iptables (IPTV Routing)

Got it, I assume not all STB's need access to the internet though. Or is that a wrong assumption? At least I assume the ones that come direct from the provider wouldn't?
