    [ 386.11alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

I think I am seeing that on my ac68U. I was on the 5G wifi and it just disappeared out of site... so I tried to connect to the 2.4 SSID and it would not let me.. said the password had changed... then a few minutes later everything was working again without even a reboot of the router... is this...

    ProtonVPN on Merlin?

Thanks. That fixed it. I think Amazon somehow still knows I am in Colombia though:

    ProtonVPN on Merlin?

Is there a way to force it to use USA instead of whatever it wants?

    ProtonVPN on Merlin?

Thank you Billy. That was very easy to setup. Asus Router Proton Setup Mine shows : Connected (Local: 10.29.0.18 - Internet not redirected) I don't think it is going to work for me. My RT-AC68U is connected to a NanoStation Loco M2 which is bridged to another one down the street which is...

    ProtonVPN on Merlin?

Is there a walk-thru for setting up Proton VPN on a RT-AC68U by chance? I would like to give it a try. I only have the free account so not sure if that will work or not.

    Optimizing wifi

Per RMerlin: "Smart Connect does not exist on the RT-AC68U." Like mention above, I just use two different SSID, one for 2.4GHz and another for the 5.0GHz

    Advantages, disadvantages of installation

So if you retire there will be no more updates or will you pass the torch on to someone else?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

With living in a very small town in the Andes Mountains of Colombia South America I only have internet speeds of 30Mbps on a good day o_O ... and that 30Mbps was because Fiber was just installed here in town a few months ago... before that I was lucky to get 5Mbps ... So I can't really test...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

Agreed. I use Ethernet Backhaul for both of my Nodes but the one in the backyard is going over a Powerline adaptor. That one was giving me all sorts of crazy issues every since 386.7 Alpha when Asus changed something with the Backhaul settings and only allow Auto or 5GHz and dropped the 1GHz Wan...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

Have two nodes with AC68U 386.7 firmware and both have 5ghz running on them at the correct 433Mbps showing on both when I am close enough to them. But I did have to reset both of the nodes and the Router and add the nodes back in to get things running smoothly but then I was doing dirty flashes...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

Also see that a lot on my RT-AC68U. Network Map page show Internet status: Connected but when I go to run the Internet Speed test it has the yellow warning that the function is temp disable. Seems to have started with alpha of 386.7 .... though it seems if I log out and back in it works just...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

At pushing 60 I know what you mean. Heck RMerlin even said a few posts back that AiMesh is black boxed and he has nothing to do with it and I had already forgot he posted that.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

Ok, thx. strange that they got rid of the 1G Wan first selection. If anyone else has a strange issue with Node not wanting to connect via powerline adapters after dirty flashing from alpha just flash 386.5_2 or earlier back on the Node and set it to 1G Wan first and then update to latest version.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

RMerlin, thx for the hard work. Can you check into this issue with Backhaul Connection Priority that started back in alpha1 on the RT-AC68U firmware, it was good up to 386.5_2:

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

Most like to run it on the router itself as you then eliminate other variables like WiFi interference, etc... For those that are hardwired from the PC to router with a verified good patch cable though can go that route.
