    Migration from RT-N66U to AC-87U?

I will agree with what everyone here is saying. I went from the n66u to an ac87r and it was the worst move ever. The ac87r was just not stable at all no matter what I tried. I got lucky though and it was only last month that I decided to take a gamble on ac87r since my dad had one and it was...

    RT-AC3100 Console Gaming Question.

I had the AC87R and now have the AC3100. With the AC87R my xbox one was getting anywhere from 35-50 down and about 12-15 up on the AC3100 I get closer to 50 down and 14-16 up and that is on the 5GHz band. The problem I have with this is that my connection speed is 155/15 so I am getting the...

    RT-AC3100

Sounds like there is definitely something wrong with the one you got. I consistently get 170-180 mbits over wifi and have gotten as fast as 232 when my connection was really peaking! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Battery Backup or Surge Protector?

Well considering the rest of the house won't be on a battery backup, I am pretty sure I would know that power is out if I am awake due to the lights being out. But if I were sleeping and it was just running my router and modem I wouldn't want to hear a beeping either.

    Battery Backup or Surge Protector?

    Battery Backup or Surge Protector?

I know it happens a lot on the internet but I hadn't checked in on the thread in a day or so and come back to all sorts of technical details when I was just looking for suggestions on specific battery backup or surge protectors. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Battery Backup or Surge Protector?

I thought titles are supposed to broad that's what the first post is for right? I figured by my first post saying it will just be a couple of items people would understand this is for home use and not an elaborate business use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Battery Backup or Surge Protector?

Exactly!!!! Thank you for understanding. I'm most likely going to go the UPS route and am ok spending $100-$150 so any recommendations on specific models? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Battery Backup or Surge Protector?

Once again I don't pretend to understand half of the terminology or scientific reasoning just looking for specific recommendations of battery back ups or surge protectors to use not a lesson on what it is or how it works which should somehow help me figure out what that means to me. Apparently...

    Battery Backup or Surge Protector?

I didn't mean to start a crazy debate. I was just looking for a suggestion on which way to go and what units are recommended. I honestly don't understand half of the scientific part behind it that you guys are explaining and really don't care to. I just wanted a suggestion of what would be a...

I think I am just going to wait a while for a stable build from merlin

    Battery Backup or Surge Protector?

So are you saying that we shouldn't use surge protectors or battery backup? It seems like from what I can take out of all your posts is that the internal components are built to withstand it and that it doesn't matter what type of power it is getting? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ASUS RT-AC88U Feedback, Issues and Reviews. Please Share Yours

I agree I was coming from the RT-N66U, made the mistake of trying out the RT-AC87R and that was a nightmare. I am happy with RT-AC3100
