@jksmurf's hard reset method allowed me to add the node to the aimesh. After that I took your advice and switched both nodes back to stock firmware. However, I am all good. Thanks.
Hello, as the title says after upgrading my router to RT-AX68U_3004_388.10_0 it appears as a repeater. The router was part of an Ai Mesh and the other two routers in that setup are working correctly. Resetting AX68U and trying to readd to Ai Mesh has not worked.
Any help is much appreciated.
@sucka back from another thread: you mentioned you have PfSense: so I am guessing you had PfSense handle the DHCP duties with router mode on AXE16000. Did you run into any other issues besides obviously the low speed problem?
FYI: I had similar type issue with AX-6000 but that was on the upload...
I am using PfSense and I do have VLANs, previously I thought PfSense was the issue since I was trying to AirPlay from one VLAN (on Wifi) to another VLAN (wired connection to my TV). However, to drill down to the root of the problem I removed that complexity: now all devices (to and from) are in...
I have done that already. Previously, everything ran smoothly on AP mode, except for AirPlay. This is why I am doing this whole routine, and ironically, now even the router mode does not seem to be helping.
Note that all my devices are part of one subnet and that is the subnet broadcasting on...
I have a different reason for running in router mode: Airplay does not work in AP mode. My connection is as follows: PfSense --> LAN Port of GT-AX11000.
I have disabled WAN, DHCP, and firewall and set PfSense as the DNS server.
The issue I am facing is that I can access the router management...
I've been having some issues with my Asus Ai-Mesh setup in access point mode. For some reason, AirPlay isn't working. I tried switching to router mode and found a setting called "enable multicast routing" which seemed to briefly fix the issue with AirPlay. However, I'm unsure if I set up the...
Thanks, @sucka. I took your advice, played around, and found that the AirPlay issue is related to the Smart Connect technology. I separated the bands, and now AirPlay is working without an issue.
I have PfSense as my main router. All AirPlay devices are in one subnet, and the same subnet broadcasts on all Asus access points. The main node is GT-AX11000, and the remote nodes are AX-86U and AX68U. I have tried every way, and the Sony Bravia television does not show up in the AirPlay device...
