    Thanks, @sucka. I took your advice, played around, and found that the AirPlay issue is related to the Smart Connect technology. I separated the bands, and now AirPlay is working without an issue.

    VLAN with L2 switches and Asus Aimesh

    Hello there, I did not need to write or run any scripts, all my VLAN segmentation was done on PfSense GUI frontend. And my ASUS routers are on a single VLAN dedicated to WiFi, I have not found any good solution to pass through multiple VLANs over different SSIDs on ASUS router models I have.

    PfSense is open source firewall; you can buy either a Netgear appliance which will cost you more, or buy something like Protectli I am not sure if the pro version of the 11000 is a VLAN-aware router.
