    RT-N66U Upgrade to Windows 10

I had what might have been a similar problem with access to a Samba share when I first upgraded to Windows 10, and then I discovered that there was a lot of Internet chatter about issues with access to network resources, apparently related to the way Windows 10 handles credentials for access to...

Your place and the other place - are these 2 different ISPs in 2 different towns?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.40 Beta 2 is available

I don't think that is true for the RT-N66U. I don't recall reading of speed issues on this model, and on mine the performance is, if anything, better than before.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.40 Beta 2 is available

I don't have a precise measurement but I think perhaps the signal downstairs on my iPad is a bar stronger than before (on 2.4 Ghz). This is comparing 374.40 beta 1 to previous versions: 3.0.0.4.220.18b - in use for the past year or so 3.0.0.4.374.39 - in use for the past week

Loaded 374.40 Beta 1 on my RT-N66U at 8 am on 1 March, and for 16 hours it is working without problems.

ADSL modem/router with wireless and IPv6 in UK?

Well, I am aware of the debate about whether or not it's better to have the modem and router separate or not. I've been doing this for quite a few years and for my own setup I had for a long time a very reliable Thomson Speedtouch modem and a Linux system which acted as the router for the rest...

ADSL modem/router with wireless and IPv6 in UK?

Can someone suggest a current model ADSL modem/router with wireless, sold in the UK, which supports IPv6? I'm trying to advise my brother, who lives in the UK, for a new purchase for his house. I'd favour Netgear (for familiarity), or Draytek, for its generally good reputation, but any other...
