    R9000 + DD-WRT

Does SFE in the latest DD-WRT actually support ipv6 because according to this, it only supports ipv4 currently: https://source.codeaurora.org/quic/qsdk/oss/lklm/shortcut-fe/plain/README?h=banana

    AC3100 gigabit speeds

Today, I decided to do a speedtest since the new R7000 may require breaking in for maximum performance: With CTF and FA on: 289.85Mbps down/10.72Mbps up The ctf_fa_cap was set to 1 but no matter what I did, I cannot set the ctf_fa_mode as it will show up as ctf_fa_mode=2 when I did: nvram set...

    AC3100 gigabit speeds

Had a chance to test out both my original R7000-NAS (Made in Vietnam) and also a new R7000-NAS (Made in Vietnam) purchased yesterday. And here are my results with the new R7000-NAS put in test today which is similar to the original one. This one seems to reboot faster than my original one but...

Turn off FA and not CTF?

Where did you actually find info on the command? You have to nvram unset ctf_fa_cap to get it back to the original as that is a key with no variable.

    AC3100 gigabit speeds

The correct way to reverse what was done is not to set it to anything since as you can see, the original variable was not set to anything so the correct way to do it is: nvram unset ctf_fa_cap nvram commit reboot admin@R8000-CC16898:/tmp/home/root# nvram get ctf_fa_cap...

    AC3100 gigabit speeds

I have the Blast Pro 200/10 since March 14, 2017 and now Blast Pro 250/10 profile from XFinity/Comcast since January 2, 2017 when they provided the upgrades. I originally had Blast 150/10 when service was initially installed on March 15, 2016 and basically I also am using a Arris SurfBoard...

Ethernet Cat6A Cable: Shielded VS unshielded

Yes, BlueJeansCable is very well known. Markertek is also a good source as well I would think just like BlackBox.

Ethernet Cat6A Cable: Shielded VS unshielded

There are crap CAT5E and CAT6 cables as most cables do not meet the specs when tested as seen here: https://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/data-cables/index.htm The problem is it's hard to test the cable to see if it actually meets the specs on your own so it's better to stick with the better...

Can't Access Router Login from other Networks

Isn't the setting Administration -> System -> Web Interface -> Enable web access from WAN that has to be enabled?

How does one add 192.168.100.x as a secondary alias IP?

I replied to your comment on DSLrports.com. You can read my other thread here: https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r31490583-Signals-Packet-Loss-Signals-look-fine-Arris-SurfBoard-SB8200-modem Basically, everything is new. Tap was replaced with a new one on June 30, 2017 From tap which is in the...

How does one add 192.168.100.x as a secondary alias IP?

I noticed on my SB8200, the log no longer has more than 5 entries as the first 4 is the January 1, 1970 event which is from the reset to factory defaults reboot on the 26th and then the 5th entry is the T3 timeout except that one just keeps getting replaced with the newest one. Yesterday it...

How does one add 192.168.100.x as a secondary alias IP?

The fix is only to change the diplexer from 1.2Ghz to 1.0Ghz to reverse the workaround which was needed for the Cisco CMTS except it was causing T3 resets for those on the Arris E6000 CMTS while the original problem for Cisco CMTS already had a fix so the current fix is nothing more than a...

Ubiquiti AC Pro and AC Lite Access Points Reviewed

I was thinking of the same thing as one can just replace the WiFi portion of a Netgear R7000 or ASUS RT-AC68U/R with the UniFi AP. I thought one didn't have to disable the DHCP on the router at all and just had to disable the wireless part but why is it cumbersome for management?

    [TOR] Asus website bricked?

http://zsmith.co/tor.html RMerlin is right. Think of Akamai just like your house, they have the right to allow or deny access to anyone since if you want access, you play by their rules. If you don't, then you don't get access. I mean it's not unreasonable to know who actually went into...

    [TOR] Asus website bricked?

Akamai might not be blocking tor but rather, it might be blocking the DNS Servers that you are using while using tor so if you can change the DNS servers, it might actually work. Akamai itself is a Content Delivery Network that is hosted at different networks for free as basically, it's like a...
