I bought this router in Hong Kong in 2017. I've been using it for years when I'm on vacation, staying in hotels, etc. It still works perfectly, and I never had any problems with it when I used it at home for the first few years.
I'm using the RT-AX89X as a wired node. When I use this firmware, my Wi-Fi on the node connects at 2.4, and 5 is "impossible". It connects to 5 at first, but as soon as I start a speed test, it immediately jumps back to the 2.4 connection. You see this on the iPhone and also on Windows laptops...

For this router, you don't need to adjust this under LAN, but under WAN.
On the Internet Connection tab, enter the provider's VLAN. On the DUAL WAN tab, enter the primary WAN.

I want to use my 10G sfp+ as primary WAN on my RT-BE88U. But for my provider I have to setup IPTV. However, when I enter a value there, a message appears that this is only possible via the primary WAN. I think I could adjust this when I used my RT-AX89X as main router. Is this a bug in the ASUS...
My internet speed is 2G. I use the RT-AX89X as an Wired Backhaul via the 10G Base T connection. With this firmware it switches on the Backhaul between 2.4 and 5. I then get a maximum of 100Mbit or 1000Mbit. With the previous firmware I get almost 2000Mbit. So I went back to the previous firmware.
