Unable to flash Merlin firmware on AX58U

Same misfortune here- RT-AX58U V2. I saw the "only V1 supported" in the supported models list but I did not see I was buying V2 on Amazon. I checked the Amazon page for this router again recently, no mention of V2 there. Very annoying :( I intended to use this router as a vpn client but this...
