    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.38 is out

Hi Merlin, I have upgraded my N66U from 35_4sdk5 to 38_1-em using your upgrade instructions and I have to say I'm very happy with the EM build. Wireless has improved slightly, more noticeable on longer distance by around -5db and at a closer distance it is similar but a lot more consistent...

    The Winter Knight is here

Hi Merlin, Thanks for the new firmware! After testing the beta SDK5 I still have slow WAN speeds, i previously had 35_2 SDK5 and that was getting 100mbps, however now no matter which firmware version SDK5 i try I only get 50mbps. Tried non SDK5 and it is fine, though wireless is shirt house. So...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.35 is out

No worries, I believe you haha. Why is it I'm experiencing different speeds between firmware versions even when I'm clearing the nvram and following all correct steps?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.35 is out

Merlin, had anything else changed from 35_2 to 35_4? My wired speeds have returned to max 40mbps, _2 is fine though _4 does have better wifi performance at the cost of wired speed. Why can't I have best of both worlds? this is becoming frustrating lol. Example. _2 gets me -80db and at the...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.35 is out

Currently using 35_2sdk5, once you release 35_4sdk5 can I just re-load my saved config? Or do I have to start from scratch again? :/

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.34 is out

disabling DoS protection didn't help, if anything it made it even slower 15mbps/2.3mbps. Is there some sort of cap on the wan port or something?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.34 is out

Fair point, I will try disabling it! Will you continue SDK5 development for future firmwares for the N66U? Cheers.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.34 is out

Should i have "Enable DoS Protection" checked? I guess you can never be safe however could that be causing my wired slow down? i would assume that also should cause my wireless to be slow, in this case it isn't; I'm out of ideas. Other than the wired issues, 34_2sdk5 is awesome, thanks Merlin :D

I tried what Jlake suggested once the nvram was successfully erased i power cycled the router and I'm still only get 35mbps/2.3mbps (the up speed is normal). Sorry for the newbness, I'm new to ASUS router products, i appreciate both your help and I have searched and searched and can't seem...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.34 is out

I did, however I'll give it another go. - mtd-erase -d nvram - Let it reboot. - Unplug for 1 minute then plug it back in. I'll do that exactly and let you know what happens.
