Setup Merlin and Skynet - Now only my Echo Plus is unable to access the internet

I had thought that my disability of diversion was the issue but it does not seem to be. I would have initial internet access upon rebooting the echo, and then immediately it would drop its connection to the internet. I think I was just too hasty in my assumption that things were working.

Setup Merlin and Skynet - Now only my Echo Plus is unable to access the internet

Well some new developments. The echo plus worked initially and then almost immediately it stopped working. I don’t know what’s even happening now, I’m very confused. Even with diversion off. The only thing I’ve gotten blocked is CN and RU for countries, a a few servers thst an IOT device was...

Setup Merlin and Skynet - Now only my Echo Plus is unable to access the internet

Hi all, So I setup Merlin on my Asus router, all was going well and I blocked a few questionable countries from it using Skynet. All is well, for all of my devices, EXCEPT for my Echo Plus. I've searched the SysLog and I can't find any attempts of my Plus accessing the internet. I disabled...

RT-AX86U - Block all but a specific site from a device?

Hi everyone, I don't have Merlin installed on my 86U, but I would like to block all internet traffic (sans 1 server) from a few specific devices in my home network that I want to fully secure. I know this isn't an easy request, but I'm hoping there's a way to do this. If not possible on the...

RT-AX86U full download speed, slow upload, speed test from router normal

Hi everyone, I have a slightly odd configuration that I know can cause some issues, but this particular issue seems... odd and nonsensical. I currently have the following setup: Shaw BlueCurve Modem (XB7 -...

RT-AX92U on Shaw (Canada) Blue Curve Modem, unable to use bridge mode

Crap! I have not called about the MAC address! I knew there was something I was missing! I will do that this weekend. You’re a life saver. Thank you!

RT-AX92U on Shaw (Canada) Blue Curve Modem, unable to use bridge mode

I did. Both up to date. The problem with contacting Shaw is that everything looks fine on their end. As well, it’s working fine with a different router as the bridged device, plus I’m actually being assigned an IP from Shaw, the 70. Address, this person wasn’t getting anything anything. As...

RT-AX92U on Shaw (Canada) Blue Curve Modem, unable to use bridge mode

Okay so when I have my modem in bridged mode, I’ll have my asus router connected and the picture I showed above that had a 70.* WAN address when I do this however I cannot browse the internet From any connected device. Not the Xbox, nothing. I can only ping and tracert. All devices are being...

RT-AX92U on Shaw (Canada) Blue Curve Modem, unable to use bridge mode

No dice - I would really love any other thoughts. Is there a setting I could be missing? It seems to be pulling all the right info from my ISP so I'm at a total loss. Could my ISP somehow be blocking the router? Even with the cloned MAC address? And what would cause the mac address to be...

RT-AX92U on Shaw (Canada) Blue Curve Modem, unable to use bridge mode

I tried cloning the MAC address using : between them as that’s what happened when I tapped “clone” while connected to my computer, sadly I ended up with a message saying DHCP error from ISP. do you think switching to dashes would help? I won’t be able to try again until this evening, but what...

RT-AX92U on Shaw (Canada) Blue Curve Modem, unable to use bridge mode

Okay, so some updates - I dug out my old TP Link C2600 from the closet. Spent some hours removing OpenWRT which... fun, anyway - gone. Set that up. Plugged internet into the WAN Port and BOOM, full internet. WTF The BIG difference that I saw is that the TP Link got a 24.* IP address, whereas...

RT-AX92U on Shaw (Canada) Blue Curve Modem, unable to use bridge mode

I actually did all those steps last night and again today. I confirmed the ax92u has all the appropriate WAN settings (a 70. IP address and the dns servers match, too.) I did full factory resets of both devices as well hoping that it would solve something but the second I try to connect...

RT-AX92U on Shaw (Canada) Blue Curve Modem, unable to use bridge mode

Bridge mode doesn’t work. I turn it on and the issues I mention above start. I currently have the ax92u connected to my blue curve as a cascading router/double nat. I added the ax92u to the blue curve’s DMZ to at least give a little bit of freedom. what I cannot seem to sort is why I can’t...

RT-AX92U on Shaw (Canada) Blue Curve Modem, unable to use bridge mode

Shoot. So sadly nope. No joy. Called my isp. They initiated bridge mode themselves, I had so many hopes. Made sure there was a second IP address, no dice. Tried doing a 30 second unplug of both the ISP modem and the router, and even doing that I still have the same issue. Ping/Tracert work...

RT-AX92U on Shaw (Canada) Blue Curve Modem, unable to use bridge mode

I think there’s an issue on Shaw’s end. I have been hunting down to figure out what’s happening and came upon this: “So as not to leave this thread hanging... after some more investigation it turns out the "limited connectivity" I described was likely due to a problem with a Shaw node I was...
