Release ASUS RT-AX92U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525

This new firmware seems very solid. The only weirdness is that my wired client on the main router doesn't always show up on the AiMesh client list; it comes and goes but I know it's still connected because that's where I'm watching the GUI.

Speed test from AiMesh Node to Ookla?

I have recently moved my dual-node AX92U network to a wired backhaul (specifically Netgear PLP2000 powerline "ethernet" units) and would like to measure the actual throughput across that link. I was hoping to run the Ookla speed test on the Node to see how the throughput differed from the same...

Release ASUS RT-AX92U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525

Perfect, thanks! I'll give it a shot this weekend. Glad to see them resume a regular release cadence.

Release ASUS RT-AX92U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525

Thanks; that didn't show up when I looked a few days back.

Release ASUS RT-AX92U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525

Googling the string "3.0.0.4.388_23630" comes up with almost nothing. I'm not updating my firmware until I see something on the ASUS site indicating that they've released new firmware for this thing.

Release ASUS RT-AX92U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525

A simple "brilliant deduction" would suffice;-) Seriously, though, I haven't seen anything official other than my router telling me to update its firmware. I'm paranoid enough for that to give me pause before clicking the update button, given recent supply chain compromises (SolarWinds, etc.)

Release ASUS RT-AX92U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525

My router is telling me that 388_23630 is available. Since I have NOT checked the box that says "retrieve beta firmware" I was assuming that the alert meant that new RELEASED firmware was available. I don't see any announcement here, though (or on the ASUS website) and your reply taken in...

Release ASUS RT-AX92U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525

I upgraded to this firmware. It is the first release that has worked for me since June of 2021. I did a hard reset on both nodes, uploaded the firmware from my PC via the web interface, and then reconfigured everything from scratch. So far, the mesh has been running fine for four days, now...

RT-AX92U still on 3.0.0.4.386.46061 since januari '22. Did Asus really stopped supporting this model ?

Wow--almost a year, now, since the last update. That is very sad. I have to reboot my system every night, otherwise my guest networks stop working. If I don't see something new by the end of the month, I'm going to buy something new.

RT-AX92U still on 3.0.0.4.386.46061 since januari '22. Did Asus really stopped supporting this model ?

Alas, I had already moved to WPA2/Personal, so no relief there.

RT-AX92U still on 3.0.0.4.386.46061 since januari '22. Did Asus really stopped supporting this model ?

No updates this year since January, and even that version didn't fix guest network problems that were introduced in June of 2021. The device includes support for WAN multi-link, VPN, file server, etc. so saying that it is "just a mesh node" does not quite mesh with reality. All of that said, I...

    Release ASUS RT-AX92U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.46061 - 2022/01/20

End of Sale and End of Support are distinct concepts in the IT world. Vendors generally support their products for some reasonable amount of time after they stop selling a particular model. If they didn't, they would find it difficult to sell older products once word got out that a newer...

    Release ASUS RT-AX92U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.46061 - 2022/01/20

Definitely a security risk, as the flaws in the AX92U relating to guest network that were introduced over a year ago have yet to be fixed and people are undoubtedly running back-revved waiting for a working fix. Also, the AC86U now has new firmware as of sometime around 7/20/2022.
