[384.7_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

All looking good for over 24 hours on my AC87U

YazFi YazFi - enhanced AsusWRT-Merlin Guest WiFi inc. SSID <-> VPN Client

Just installed it and it works a treat. Ideally I'd like probably the simplest option - Access to other subnets.

Request for Help: Introduction to Firewall (iptables) config to increase 32 rule limit

As the other poster says, what is it you are actually trying to achieve by whitelisting all of these services? - to allow them to traverse from wan to Lan? Use a vpn, or port forwarding? - to allow them Lan to wan? Not needed, handled by Nat - you want to prevent *all* outbound traffic apart...

    bypass office blocking, please help

The original posters username seems to crop up on many forums... and often seems to relate to wanting to 'solve' the previously mentioned situation. I'd be very careful about my online presence in that situation if I wanted to keep my job. - You have no rights to use work equipment for 'self...

    bypass office blocking, please help

I also agree with all of the above. And further to that, if they are so concerned about security to put those measures in place they probably have extensive network monitoring and IDS / Threat detection in place too. You start messing with the systems, you'll be out if a job before you know it...

    Dual WAN with 1:0 Ratio

The top solution outlined here is how I'd propose doing it. Slight complication here is that one of your connections is already a private IP address as it goes through some router external to you. https://superuser.com/questions/635515/two-internet-connections-two-routers-one-network You might...

    Dual WAN with 1:0 Ratio

At that point, do you even need to be doing load balancing with a specific device as such? You could have two separate gateways on your LAN, each with its own IP address. By selectively giving different devices the different gateway IPs you are manually/statically load balancing. Obviously...

    Slow File Transfer Speed?

Cool. Glad it was an easy fix. That 12 MB speed always rings alarm bells :-) Andy.

    Slow File Transfer Speed?

I'd guess if the cap appears to be exactly that speed then one of your links is stuck at 100Mb. Have you checked the connection speed of each interface?

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.67 is now available

My Ac87U normally sits at a CPU temp of 75C or so, never much higher. Radios normally at 10 or 15 less than that. Since downgrading from 66_6 to 66_4 I've not seen a single wireless drop in three days. I was seeing many per day on .66_6 and .67

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.67 is now available

Nearly 24 hours back on 380.66_4 with no drops noticed on my AC-87U. For me, it appears something broke between 380.66_4 and 380.66_6, which carried through onto 380.67 too.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.67 is now available

I have now gone back to 380.66_4 which is what I was using before I updated to .67, when all was ok All now seems fine, no drops. I realise that Wifi problems are usually dismissed as no changes have happened within the drivers, but I'm going to keep an eye on this - and lots of other people...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.67 is now available

I seem to be suffering with Wireless connectivity problems with 380.67 on my AC-87U too. Wifi seems to drop briefly only to return moments later. I often pick up a device to find that it has connected to a nearby open AP as my Asus Wifi had briefly dropped and then returned. I am also seeing a...

State of the project - 2016 in review

Err... They don't want to trash him for supporting the R7000. They want to trash him for not following GPL, and especially the fact that his work wouldn't even be possible if RMerlin had chosen to act in the same way as him and keep his work hidden and private.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.64 Beta is now available

Sounds like similar symptoms to the "one core at 100%" problem being discussed in another thread. Only way out for me was a full power cycle. If it is that, I've seen it in the last few versions, not just this release.
