[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

The point is that you should *not* be getting anywhere close to 100% cpu utilization when maxing out your WAN interface *IF* your hardware supports NAT acceleration and it's enabled/functioning properly. The closed source drivers move packet processing directly to the integrated wifi/switch...

    AC68U cannot access settings page?

Assuming you've sufficiently cleared your browser's cache and/or tried from another device, the only other thing I can think of is to just do the NVRAM reset as mentioned. That should get the GUI responding again on http:// (port 80), but you will have to reconfigure from scratch. Note -...

    AC68U cannot access settings page?

Try https://192.168.1.1:8443, then https://192.168.1.1:443, then http://192.168.1.1. If none of those work, cycle the routers power, wait a full 60 seconds and try all 3 again. (Close your browser during the power cycle.) If that doesn't do it, the CFE might be in fail-safe update mode...

    AC68U cannot access settings page?

I wasn't even getting prompted for the password since the change to https (only). I fired up a Linux box and ran a nmap port scan... nothing was listening on 80 or 443 but other ports were responding including 8443. The browsers on both windows PCs must have been caching the http...

    AC68U cannot access settings page?

I came to the forums this morning to find a work around for the very same splash page. (Looking for a solution short of a hard reset.) I had just upgraded both an RT-AC68U & RT-AC68R to MerlinWRT 378.50, multiple nvram resets and restarts before and after the upgrade. Upgrade went fine...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.38 is out

I wonder if Window's Wifi power savings could be a factor. Might be worth bumping the wireless adapter's power saving mode to Maximum Performance for both AC + Battery in the current power profile. (Windows restart may be required if the client's Wifi driver is temperamental.)
