Random net loss, 5g going down

Just an update for anyone else who might run into this. Tested a couple more times with my laptop. Network would be stable for hours/days. Turned on laptop and 5g would disappear within an hour each time. Replaced the Killer 1525 in my laptop with an Intel 8265 and haven't had a 5g issue...

Random net loss, 5g going down

Might be something specific to my setup. 5g had been fine for a day. Turned on the laptop and it disappeared twice in an hour. Turned off the laptop and it's been fine since.

Random net loss, 5g going down

Out of curiosity, is anyone else who is seeing this issue running a Killer network card? I've just recently noticed that the network will be fine, sometimes for days, but will go down soon after I start my laptop that has the killer 1525 in it. Some searching shows others having issues with Asus...

RT - AC88U disabled radio temperature

In 380.65_2, my radio temps still show as disabled. I updated the firmware, did a factory reset, then did the minimal configuration. Still nothing.

Random net loss, 5g going down

I have done the configuration. The issue was better when it was on 380.64_2, but still happened. I upgraded yesterday to the new 380.65_2 and it's already dropped 4 times today. I'm at my wits end. It is sooo frustrating. I'm in now way blaming Merlin. This was happening before I started...

Random net loss, 5g going down

@muffintastic - I moved my router back to 380.64_2 as suggested and it's been stable for a couple of days now. Thanks for the insight.

Random net loss, 5g going down

I've hard set both 2.4 and 5g channels and disabled IPv6. It's been more stable since then. I'm curious....I have a newer router that supposedly has different wireless chips (can't find the thread, but it had to do with the temperatures being shown as disabled). Does everyone on this thread...

Random net loss, 5g going down

Happened again about 10 minutes ago. The 5G drops, the SSID "disappears" until a reboot. I've also attached my log taken not long after it happened. Does anyone have any ideas? I've followed all the setup info about minimal configuration, etc...

Random net loss, 5g going down

Nope. No luck here either. Temps dropped from 70 to 56 and just happened again. Lost contact and couldn't see the 5G network again until I rebooted the router.

Random net loss, 5g going down

I have also been struggling with random 5G drops. Sometimes a couple within a few hours and then no issues for a day or two. I just installed a laptop cooler pad under the router to see if lowering the temp will help. Curious if anyone else has seen this or come up with a solution.
