    Dnscrypt from opendns

I have the same problem with 378.53. Dnscrypt is not started. Add the following line in /jffs/scripts/services-start : /opt/etc/init.d/S09dnscrypt-proxy start

Hey guys! What should I do?

Some firmware versions corrupted some settings in the NVRAM on the N66U if I remember correctly, and when you upgrade the firmware to a newer version you have to clear the NVRAM completely to get the router working properly again...

Asus RT-N66U just stopped working, can not connect

Also, the NVRAM size was increased between some firmware revisions and sometimes the upgrade didn't happen properly I think. There are different CFE revisions you can find on the net with fixes for this, but there are risks of bricking it even more than it is right now if it's acting that bad...

RT-N66U overheating and terrible WAN-LAN throughput

Can you try a fan blowing on the rear vents? The included power supply is junk. You'll find many failure reports on the net. Mine started turning off randomly and making weird noises. I switched to an Asus EEE 19V power supply which runs a lot cooler and should last a lot longer.

Asus RT-N66U just stopped working, can not connect

The router already runs at 54°C stock so no wonders it's hot. A small computer fan blowing behind the vents will easily cut down about 15°C. There are bad batches of the RT-N66U with failing ports. Maybe you have one of them? Another problem could be the power supply failing: the one...

    iptables clamp-mss-to-pmtu

Thanks Merlin, saw the commit. I'm testing the latest dd-wrt beta build until next release since it's got different QoS queueing models. I'm quite disappointed so far.

    When to make procfs changes?

Excellent, however I'm not sure I've seen a difference between the two. More testing to do I guess.

    When to make procfs changes?

Hi, As I can't find sysctl.conf and sysctl in the build (most likely not compiled) is it possible to change values in procfs in init-start or will they be ignored as they were not set in sysctl.conf? I'm testing the router with tcp_ecn enabled. init-start: #!/bin/sh echo 2 >...

    iptables clamp-mss-to-pmtu

Sounds more like the rules should be in the mangle table, but still in FORWARD. '-t mangle' should be added to lines 2584, 2586, 2592, 2594 of /release/src/router/rc/firewall.c explanations already in the OpenWRT and DDWRT support tickets. http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/3397...

    iptables clamp-mss-to-pmtu

Hi, I'm on ADSL and Netalyzr claims I can't send fragmented UDP traffic, that is, until I move the clamp-mss-to-pmtu rule to the mangle table. I have the following firewall-start script which fixes the problem: #!/bin/sh iptables -D FORWARD -p tcp --tcp-flags SYN,RST SYN -j TCPMSS...

    Dnscrypt from opendns

Hi, Firefox and Windows both have their own DNS cache. For Windows/IE you will have to run the following command : "ipconfig /flushdns" and Firefox is *supposed* to clear it's DNS entries when you stop it. However, you might see the cached page. Either clear cache and history or try...

    Dnscrypt from opendns

Of course, New opkg install: opkg install dnscrypt-proxy hostip New "/jffs/scripts/wan-start" script: #!/bin/sh # Wait up to 15 seconds to make sure /opt partition is mounted i=0 while [ $i -le 15 ] do if [ -d /opt/tmp ] then break fi sleep 1...

    Dnscrypt from opendns

For anyone interested, the "dnscrypt-proxy-hostip" package was renamed "hostip" when using opkg.

    Received packet with own address

Not just a wireless extender but a wireless bridge as well I guess? I'm in the same situation. All the clients connected to my EA-N66 bridge have different IPs, but they all appear to the RT-N66U's client list with the same MAC address.

    Timeline Merlin build rt-ac68u

Well it's at least showing up over atNCIX, on back order though.
