    Thread Protocol

I cannot confirm the exact band they are using as the manufacturer did not specify. I did have 2.4GHz at 20MHz but switched to 20/40MHz a couple of hours ago.

    Thread Protocol

Exactly. This is why I asked if there were any configuration options to minimize this. Also, interested in the experience of other’s using Thread Protocol devices in the same WiFi space as their ASUS routers.

    Thread Protocol

I have a security device that uses the Thread Protocol and it becomes unreachable after a while. I was wondering if anyone else is using Thread devices and if they have a similar issue. Also, any Thread Protocol related configuration options would be helpful. Thanks Cheers

    RT-AX86U_PRO_3006_102.5 issues

What about the possibility one or more of the AX86U’s WAN settings causing issues with your ISP? This website may help: https://medium.com/@PhonicUK/how-to-set-up-your-own-router-for-zen-internet-216e7d1cd3f4

Apple TV 4K Sleep Ethernet Problem

“Category 7 was ratified as a standard in 2002 as per the ISO/IEC 11801, but still is not recognized by EIA or TIA.” https://intellinetsolutions.com/pages/ethernet-cable-guide The point was to get a quality Ethernet cable Cat 6 or higher. Cat 8 may be excessive.

Apple TV 4K Sleep Ethernet Problem

Apple should be releasing TVOS 26.1 in the next few weeks. I don’t know if a new release will help but one can hope. You need to use a new Ethernet cable at least a Cat 7. Why? I suspect that there may be a autonegotiation issue between the devices. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonegotiation

    Disable Alexa

Did as you suggested, applied, and rebooted router. Protocol is still showing. Not a critical need. Just wanted to make it go away.

    Disable Alexa

RT-AX86U Pro running 3006.102.5 In running a protocol discovery app on my Mac I found that Alexa_TCP is coming from my AX86U. My home network is predominately an Apple Ecosystem and I do not want Alexa on it. Is there a way I can disable Alexa?

Very slow internet speeds with RT-AX86U Pro?

In my opinion, for an issues such as you described, I would always begin by performing a speed test from a device as close to your ISP connection as possible, typically the router. Assuming the router’s CPU is not excessively high, the speed test should be very close to ISP subscribed speed. It...

Very slow internet speeds with RT-AX86U Pro?

Respectfully disagree, in my experience the router speed test is consistently accurate with the subscribed ISP speeds. I have Spectrum’s cable modem. Whenever the speed test falls short of subscribed ISP speeds a simple cable modem power on reset resolves.

    BE88U on 3006.102.4 - Enable QoS?

Dave14305 replied; “CAKE won’t perform well without sacrificing bandwidth. Your best option is no QoS.” And he is right. I cannot speak to your specific router but on mine you just turn it on in the GUI, add a couple settings that are specific to your WAN connection, and you’re done. I wouldn’t...

    BE88U on 3006.102.4 - Enable QoS?

I personally, would implement CAKE QoS on a trial basis to see the impact on everything in your network. Based on your up/down speeds and Spotify issue, I believe CAKE will resolve. Considering data demands of gaming compared to music, I don’t believe gaming will be impacted.

AX86U Pro clients losing internet until factory reset

So? I was using an automation example not providing a solution. To provide a proper automation solution one has to know the exact criteria, requirements, and so much more.
