    Thanks for your 1st reply about recovery software, I just finished and flashed it to the lastest Asus firmware. My main Aimesh router is not supported by Merlin so I think I better have this RT-AX58U back to Asus firmware, thanks again.

    Another problem, I can not flash Asuswrt to the latest 388 Asuswrt-Merlin firmware that I flashed to the router. Anyway, as long as Aimesh will work fine with the main mesh router with Asuswrt firmware, I should be fine.

    I wanted to use a RT-AX58U as a Aimesh node, its firmware is 384, I tried to upgrade its firmware to 388 with Asus firmware, it can't. At the end I used Merlin firmware to upgrade and it suceed. Wondering why? Thanks.

    Thank you very much for your help, re-synching is now very fast about 80MB/s and will take about 18 hours to finish. Finally everything is almost finish, once it finish re-synching, I will move all files from back up HDD back to NAS. Thanks again.

    Thanks a lot, no need to do a factory reset, after removing the old Raid 5 11.xxTB volume, recreated a new Raid 5 volume and it is now 15.87TB but rebuild seems will take a long time, the volume is building only 8% done but re-synching is only .25 percent and at 10 MB/s only and it will take 6.6...

    I added the 6TB HDD, one by one. Anyway, I just connected an external drive to the AS1004T and backing up a few folders to it and since the external drive is only 8TB, some of the files will go to my computer later, lucky for me is that I have some of the folders backed up on Synology as well...

    Thanks for the reply, they are already on their lastest firmware, I think the only thing I could test it is to buy a 12TB hard drive and move my 10.5TB data from the Asustor to it and then reformat Asustor and see if it will increase the volume size to near 16TB like the Synology which is...

    Disable UPNP ?

    I read an article that I should disable upnp and ran test on https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2 to make sure my router can not be probe. Nonetheless, the result is my router can not be probe even with upnp still on. Should I disable it anyway? My router is the GT-AC2900 thanks.
