Has anyone else seen a performance difference in Upper/Lower 5GHz bands?

I've searched but didn't find another thread. I'm quite interested in reading there. Can you share a link? Yeah it definitely depends on BOTH ends of the link, as well as site conditions. Materials reflect and absorb RF differently depending on frequency, and who knows what sorts of...

Has anyone else seen a performance difference in Upper/Lower 5GHz bands?

Thanks for that, I hadn't spotted the 2.4GHz difference. My "testing device" is a Pixel 3a XL with WiFiAnalyzer (see prev. post for link). I have since considered that maybe my phone's antennae are tuned better for the low end. It could well be not that great a way to measure. It does take...

Has anyone else seen a performance difference in Upper/Lower 5GHz bands?

That's a good point, I've never considered the relative nature of the scale. I've never really questioned the units shown in the app. For reference, it's the open source WiFiAnalyzer. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vrem.wifianalyzer Still, whatever arbitrary point "0dBm"...

A couple of clarifying questions before I take down my network ...

Yes, I visited there dozens of sites ago. Along with the 66U B1 page. I hit "show all" and expanded everything, then searched for wpa. No mention of WPA3 at all. https://www.asus.com/Networking/RT-AC66U-B1/HelpDesk_BIOS/ Also on the product page it has not listed any form of WPA3...

Has anyone else seen a performance difference in Upper/Lower 5GHz bands?

... A difference in PERFORMANCE I should have said. Can't edit that now. While I was digging for some information about whether my RT-AC68U (B2) is the identical same as RT-AC68P (which I still don't know) I stumbled down a rabbit hole leading to FCC certification documents for FCC ID...

A couple of clarifying questions before I take down my network ...

Oh cool, thanks! That's where it is in stock, and it does do stuff there, so if the option is not cut from Merlin I assume it still functions. I came across mention of it being in the Professional tab, but couldn't really discern if those comments referred to stock or Merlin.

A couple of clarifying questions before I take down my network ...

I've been reading and searching this forum for quite a while, there's a lot to dig into! I'm well satisfied on almost every question I've come up with. I have seen where these two questions have been rather discussed, including the faqs, but not in the past year or two. Can someone confirm the...
