Thanks for v 1.0.3 @Adamm This fixed the issue i had with jitter while gaming with not load on or other devices on my network. I went back to cake now since this is fixed, much better loaded latency then asus qos.

You might be right, I have to limit it at 8.5mbps instead of 10mbps (10% lower bandwidth on speedtest) to avoid bufferbloat on steam and torrents. 10mbps limit is enough to avoid all bufferbloat on dslreports, fast-com, normal downalods, windows update, origin, Netflix, youtube, etc. I have to...

MEO (Altice Portugal) is my ISP. My speeds are stable at 12/1, but noise margins range from 10 to 16. And that's why I can't have 15mbps anymore, they control at what speeds the modem syncs. But my main issue is bufferbloat, like i described in the post above. Steam causing bufferbloat, to the...

I really didn't want to, because isp support and stuff. But I've contacted my isp about some issues with the adsl line. It has a been a bit unstable with noise margins, I used to have 15mbps, now it's at 12mbps because of that. I'll see if they replace it for me, they have some newer models...

Guys, I've found another issue with QOS. Steam downloads buffer like crazy, and this is with both cake and fq-codel. Any ideas? I'm talking ~80ms bufferbloat with spikes to ~200ms. 90% bandwith limit. Only steam does this, normal downloads increase ping by around 4ms. Only fix i found was to...

It's not the pc, I run pingplotter on laptop and if game is open on desktop it does the same thing. I'm running a 8700k at 4.8ghz + 16gb 3600mhz cl15 ram. yes movement is smooth, extra 10ms jitter doesn't affect movement at all. Also I use mouse not controller, makes me sad to see people...

Guys, I made a clip showing the issue with cake while gaming. Again, no other devices connected, connection is not loaded at all. Watch the graph. This only happens while gaming, wired or wireless doesn't matter. Idle latency without gaming is same cake on/off. Tried Battlefield V, Warzone...

    Using ping plotter?

I only used besteffort + bridged-llcsnap and of course the limits. Tried a lot of other different things, same issue with idle latency while gaming with cake on.

Only with load. Without load jitter only happens with cake and I need to run something like a game that sends a lot of small packets

You might be right... I did just that while running speedtest with fq-codel: Depending on the speedtest I use it can spike up to 150ms while the first hops only spike up to 30-40ms.

    CakeQOS CakeQOS-Merlin

No matter the settings, cake always gives ping spikes while gaming with no load. Asus adaptive qos with fq-codel was no such issues but I have worse bufferbloat while connection is loaded. I also tried everything to fix the random ping spike when a high load starts, like speedtest. Even...

Anyone as any idea on how to fix this? Can this be caused by my isp's router? It's in bridge mode, but it still gets a public IP and has VLAN for iptv. I have nothing connected to it besides the asus router but I can't stop it from getting public IP(different from asus public IP) and VLAN. I...

If I leave ping -t while I game it's the same result as meter.com test. Seems like many small packets, like playing apex legends while shooting bots with fast automatic guns causes cake to buffer. No load on network at all, only 1 device and no background services. Ping to first hop and router...

You didn't get it. That browser test causes the command line ping spike at the same time. But some games do the exact same... That's why I use the browser test, easy to reproduce. I even had a second command line to the router (192.168.1.1) and that is stable <1ms.
