    Thanks for the updates guys your advice helped me setup all my stuff Mostly all trafic is controlled upstairs so file transfers should be all on gigabyte, no chokepoints so far. As a bonus, i now have a solid wifi covereage all over the house

Is a Dir-655 would be a good choice to put in the basement then to connect a Dir-825 and a Wrt54g in it asboth access points ? I'm concerned because the 655 will be the one with...

    Lol i realize my post is as crumbersome as my lan... 1) Which router should i use in the basement that will uplink to the DIR-825 and how should i configure both routers ? (basement one is the one that gonna recieve the WAN and the DIR-825 will be upstairs with most of the devices wired to it)...
