I recommend you go the VLAN route. IMO, this can help you segment your network with out trying to figure out subneting, or worse yet trying to trouble shooting a routing issue with what ever routing protocol you choose. Get one switch with VLAN capabilities, put it right behind your router...

This ping issue is a show stopper for me. I don't understand how this was not found out during testing. I hope they are planning on updating FW for this router even with the 9855 coming out. I am tempted to send this back and get the 9855 in its place.
