I have suggested more than once, twice, all the time, but management is non-tech savvy and generally tought to negotiate with, however a twist happened with the whole solar-panel green thing where there are now companies promoting whole-building power-storage solutions along with significant...
Hmm, isn't EXT4 the default/preferred anyway with the latest Routers/AsusWrt-Merlin/AMTM ?
I don't recall the setting up procedure right now, perhaps I had to manually format, I think I always used EXT4, but at this moment I'm sure it's EXT4 already whether I did it or not, because it was just...
Thanks, I'll take the advice and look deeper into it.
I'm familiar with Termux, and all of the employees have Android-based phones, so it should be very simple to install it and then tell them to perhaps just launch a Shortcut which triggers a Termux (linux) script on the phone, which would use...
Right, thanks, now I can do that relatively easily, but non-techy people probably won't be to eager to go bother with ssh/login ... still too many steps.
Also is there a command that can check presence of USB storage, there has to be something that lists mounts, but to get a quick and specific...
Hi
An industrial place is experiencing frequent losses of power but more than half of them is voluntary because of repairs, manufacturing, testing and they just hit the main breaker ... the employees know how to shutdown the PCs, but they don't have a quick way to shutdown the networking stuff...
I replugged everything and it seems to work normally now ... no errors on disk.
Really odd.

In my case Entware and the whole USB disk really isn't present (unmounted/unplugged), so it's technically correct, it's just too noisy about it.
EDIT: I think it just happens if you eject the disk mid session, probably because entware / diversion don't even start loading and won't trigger it on...
Storage Device: UGREEN CM257 USB3.0 to SATA Adapter with SSD Crucial BX500 240GB
I don't have a dedicated linux PC available at the moment to inspect it, I'd need to boot into it but I'm doing some important work on Windows right now and wouldn't like to abruptly end the session.
This is a...
Hi
Reporting that uiDivStats is heavily spamming syslog with messages about "No Entware Found" in that case, a wall of text in one day, hundreds of messages.
This kind of message should be the FW's responsibility IMO, goes in line with my past suggestion that FW should support a mode to enforce...
Hello
It started randomly some weeks ago, having trouble ejecting the USB connected storage device, eventually disconnecting, but I've seen some messages in the log I haven't seen before, on older AX and AC routers too.
All of my routers including this one have AsusWRT Merlin's firmware:
The...
Hi, I remember there was a word or what I read somewhere on the possibility of per-client or static lease (MAC?, IP? both?) specific blocklists.
Perhaps the idea was floated by other users before, but does it have chances happening anytime soon, it be really helpful in my case.
Thanks
Hi
Seems like UiDivStats and taildns are spamming: waiting for NTP to sync ... messages in the System Log, multiple times per minute, if WAN is not connected.
I think that's a bit too often, otherwise not that of a big deal.
Nevermind, I reinstalled the updated version as part of new amtm version. GUI is back but ofcourse if this happens again for some reason, I'll report. The router will be moved so there will be more power cycles.
Been busy with some other networking stuff I didn't notice it was out for a week.
Update did not fix. hostslist still empty. Troubleshoot further or just manually fix?
That's how it started:
