It only happens at night is the weird part also, and its happening while Netflix is being streamed on a Smart TV. New neighbors last week but its a military rent out house so I get new neighbors every 6-12 months. No workers nearby. I had a D-Link 655 with no problems and I had a N66U but upgraded.
For the past month the 2.4ghz on all devices downstairs(router is upstairs) have lost connection and 15-30 seconds later it will come back, every device gets 4-5 bars downstairs. Now the weird thing is 2.4ghz devices upstairs don't lose connection at all, and the 5ghz devices have always worked...
Well just got a new Asus RT-AC68R from Best Buy and everything works better from then the AC66U, 2.4 speeds are faster and wired and 5 ghz are same, but for some reason the only problem I'm having is speeds on my Xbox One wired so significantly down from the AC66U. The AC68R is outputting only...
i wonder whats the problem then why is it resetting itself at random times during the day... been working fine since the crash after i turned off NAT accel but at this point just monitoring and looking for a fix.
But the lines before that says the date is from Dec. 31st and I just got this router less then a week ago. The information on those lines does not seem to correlate with today's disconnection date. Here are the lines before the problem occurred.

Just noticed that it disconnected again so now turning off NAT acceleration and monitor using Merlin's firmware still, if disconnected again will try stock firmware . Trial and error .
Well last night I did a recovery of the router and installed the latest Merlin's firmware I was using before and I haven't turned off NAT acceleration yet but seems like it's working correctly, going to monitor and post back. Maybe it was a bad firmware install but too early to be sure.
At first I was using Merlin's latest 3.0.0.4.374.38_2 but that wasn't working so went back to stock 3.0.0.4.374.2239 and that disconnected 2 hours later.
It's just the router dropping the wireless and LAN at the same time for about 10 seconds and than comes back on. This happens at random. The modem is fine it doesn't reset.
Sorry if this question has been answered already but I've searched in a lot of forums and cannot find a fix. I just bought a new Asus RT-AC66U router and it's been working great but for past few days it's been disconnecting randomly on me for a couple of seconds and than starts working again...
