    Spec wise yes the R9000 is twice as powerful comparing to the R7800. I just prefer the R9000 because it has a sfp+ port that can handle my fiber connection above 1 gig speeds, other then that it also has 7 lan ports vs the standard 5 on most things these days.     indeed i am and i love my R9000 as it handles my 2gb fiber connection very well for consumer hardware. i dont use the backup on it anymore after amazon became to expense to store my boat loads of data. still it is a nice perc for those that might use it
