    AiMesh mixing router firmwares?

    Running AX88U Merlin FW 388.2_2 as router and AX55 stock FW 3.0.0.4.386_51598 as wired AiMesh node. No problems so far.

    Yes this works with Merlin FW. I'm using OpenVPN and WG Server that is connected to OpenVPN client to Mullvad.

    Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 Beta is now available for Wifi 6 models

    RT-AX88U, dirty update from beta1 to beta2. Running OpenVPN server and OpenVPN client to Mullvad. Using VPN Director. Did some tests with WG server and WG client and different "routes" with VPN Director. All gave expected results. Thank you RMerlin.

    With firewall disabled, clients on other networks connects, but still no datatransfer. "Advertise DNS to clients" enabled/disabled didn't make a difference.

    Got the exact same experience going to alpha 2 from 388.1 (RT-AX88U); OpenVPN clients can't connect to server. I've tried to reconfigure OpenVPN server.. no change. No obvious error msgs in the log. Wireguard server ok.

    Release ASUS RT-AX88U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.20558 (2022/09/21)

    I set up wireguard vpn server running F/V 3.0.0.4.388_20558. Clients are iphone 11 and 13, old mba and intel laptop. Used QR code for the iphones and export file for mba and laptop client setup. No issues so far.
