    [Asus RT-AX88U] Experiences & Discussion

Only other suggestion is if you are using a DFS channel that the router thinks is being use by radar it won't work. We live a few miles from an airport and some of the DFS channels certainly didn't work probably due to radar in the area. If not already tried, try on of the lower double digit non...

    [Asus RT-AX88U] Experiences & Discussion

The solution that seems to work for most re the 5Ghz band according to similar posts I read before jumping in with AX is to disable the 160Mhz bandwidth and limit yourself to 80Mhz or below. 160Mhz doesn't seem to be fully baked yet.

    [Asus RT-AX88U] Experiences & Discussion

I thought I'd add my (disappointing) experience as a note of caution as I don't see a lot of posts reflecting it on this forum (which are mostly positive give or take) which in no small part is why I decided it was safe to dip my toe with AX so I bought the AX88U (coming from rock solid AC88U)...

AC-68U wifi decent, AX88U is pretty dire

Have exactly the same problem. My wife's S7 has slowed to a crawl with the new AX88U. My S10 lightening fast and seems to play nicely with everything else - TV laptops etc. But the S7 3-4 mbps. The strange thing is that it can and does speed up to 40-50mbps often though not exclusively shortly...

    OpenVPN DNS leaking

Thank you so much. Changing the Vpn DNS option to exclusive did the trick. Sorry I should have tried this - i didn't because of an explanation of what exclusive meant elsewhere on this forum. All the best.

    OpenVPN DNS leaking

Sorry for hijacking an old thread. I've been trying to research and this thread seemed to come closest but i cant find a anything that deals exactly with my problem. I'm having an issue with openvpn and dns and I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable than i might have the answer. I'm running the...

Lovely release - thank you. All the instability of previous release or two seems to have been resolved in this one on my 87u and the system has never run so fluidly. Thank you so much for your hard work. Will get on the donation

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.63_2 is now available

Quite so. However I took a deep breath and installed the latest 380.64 beta with a full reset before and after installation and I'm please to say after 5 days of use it is stable and all issues outlined previously have been resolved with traffic analysis and all trend micro settings in...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.63_2 is now available

Tried disabling the ai alert but no appreciable difference on ac87u. Still having reboot issues. Have downgraded to 380.62 and I have my reliable router back. No rebooting or disconnecting for 48 hours and clean log. Fingers crossed. Hope Asus / merlin (though I think it's an Asus issue rather...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.63_2 is now available

My experience is this firmware is unstable on ac87u. Experiencing same problems as others with restarts several times a day and upnp issues. Turning off traffic analysis improves reliability with restarts dropping to every few days or more but Asus have broken something in this firmware. Will be...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.61 is now available

In case it helps others with the DLNA issue I have fixed my setup. I had the same issue where after upgrading to .61 (.59 had same issue) my DLNA server (in my case running off a synology NAS) was no longer visible on my Samsung 2014 smart TV, S7 or Windows 10 laptop. SMB etc still worked...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

Fair enough. Well I just tried upgrading again and restarting router and DLNA devices with the same result that all DLNA devices disappear from the network on 380.59. Perhaps it is a bug peculiar to AC87U? Downgrading back to 380.58 and all DLNA devices are back. If it is a bug I am sure it...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

Hi Thank you Merlin for all your efforts on this great firmware. I just updated to 380.59 on AC87U to find all my DLNA devices disappeared. Checked with smart TV, laptops and smart phones all showing nothing. DLNA I miss is synology NAS media server but equally effects other DLNA devices which...
