Totally different experience here. This firmware has been a god send for me, hence why I posted. Appears to have have fixed all the issues I had (fingers crossed). Even though changelog doesn't mention anything wireless related.
6Ghz would only show up when it felt like it, not often. 2.4Ghz...

RT-AC68U. Upgraded from 384.19. Hard & Soft reset after the fact even though no custom scripts or jffs enabled.
Working superbly. WiFi seems to have improved slightly but maybe placebo.
No change in temps: 2.4 GHz: 49°C - 5 GHz: 52°C - CPU: 76°C
It used to be fairly easy with Reaver tool on Linux but now WPS is more secure. New implementations on routers block the MAC for varying periods of time after 3 failed PIN attempts making it not worth the time or effort. Should be safe enough now but I don't ever use WPS and turn it off anyway.
I take it you've either got BT or Virgin Media? Use Opera! I`m not being cheeky but I see no need for the long winded and complex method of accessing a simple torrent site where the tracker or peers are not affected.
Why not choose the easy option? I`m with a UK ISP who blocks these sites. Use Opera browser and enable Opera Turbo Mode (it's own proxy) and all these sites are accessible! That's what I do.
Working great here, all settings stock. Still on auto channel. Lan > Lan file copy (SSD in Main PC and Laptop) 112MB/s (896 Mb/s). iPhone 6 5Ghz connects at 433Mbps (S6 edge 866Mbps) & maxes ISP speed 200Mb/12Mb, even from garden! uTorrent 24MB/s.
