Managed to get tailscale serve to work after resetting the router. However, even when using a valid certificate from tailscale, it won't work without the insecure flag. Do I need to worry about this or just move on?
Using hostname.tailXXXXX.ts.net and 192.168.50.1 works on LAN (with DNS rewrites for the former) and only with Userspace when connecting externally. SSH still not working on both modes (I know you said it wouldn't but had to try).

Yes. The problem is accessing the WebUI and/or SSH through tailscale, outside the network. Accessing other devices on the router's LAN works fine.
