    RT-N66U running Merlin Build 378.51 WiFi connection - works fine; can access the router and the internet. Cabled connection - can access the router but not the internet. It's done this intermittently for a while but internet connection has always restored itself after a few seconds until now...

    Routers I've had before enabled setting primary and secondary dns servers if I wanted to set dns manually. 3.0.0.4.372.31 (Merlin Build) has a setting for only one dns server in the gui. Am I missing something?

    Nope! Time for a factory reset but how do I do this? I've tried powering off the router and then plugging it back in with the reset button held in but it has retained the existing settings.

    Tried that but no good :-(. When I try to log in using chrome I get the response 'server at http://192.168.1.1:80 requires a username and password (and they don't work). Isn't the :80 additional to what I've seen before or am I imagining it?

    Upgraded this morning and no problems experienced. 5G signal is improved. No problems with Xbox as some appear to have had.
