I use Mullvad on my AC86U and it performs flawlessly. I set it up on both VPN1 and VPN2 to two different Mullvad servers so if the connection to VPN1 goes down, the router shifts to VPN2. Works like a charm. Also since Mullvad is paid month to month you can try it out and if you don't like it...

Just did dirty update of my AC86U. Went smoothly and all seems to be working well.

Updated to alpha3 with no problems. I have 2 VPN clients set up (using Mullvad VPN) and the speed from the router speed test is now almost 2 times faster with download than before! It's almost as fast as using the VPN on my desktop.

Are both tests using the same server? Different servers give different speeds.

I've been using PIA with Merlin since 386.1 with no problems. Now on 386.3_beta2. Works like a charm. Full instructions and opvn files to upload to the router are on the PIA support site.
