    RT-AC68U - 100% CPU & Memory use. "mtdblock3" and "tdts_rule_agent"?

    CPU0: 1595.80 CPU1: 1599.07 What should they be?

    RT-AC68U - 100% CPU & Memory use. "mtdblock3" and "tdts_rule_agent"?

I guess this is still an issue. I've been using the automatic reboot function of the firmware. It cannot stay up longer than a few weeks without all resources completely exhausted. "mtdblock3" shows up at the top for CPU usage, but only around ~15%. The web interface showed Core1 and Core2 at...

    RT-AC68U - 100% CPU & Memory use. "mtdblock3" and "tdts_rule_agent"?

I'm thinking this started when the 384 branch came out. Or maybe it was before that. I try to stay up date. It's been doing this for months, and I'd like to get it fixed. Anyway, whenever I'd notice the network slowing down, I'd try to log into the web interface to check the QoS /traffic page...

Can you help me speed up OPENVPN on N66U?

Really? Is this a stand-alone server or is it part of AD? Because Windows Server 2008 R2 is the primary platform I work with OpenVPN on, and it works like a treat! Server 2008 R2 already supports RRAS / Routing and Remote Access, so things like NAT are simple, and with just a few clicks I...

Can you help me speed up OPENVPN on N66U?

I use those exact tweaks on a very low-latency 100 Mbps Internet connection. The systems are a Windows PC to Windows PC (one is from 2006 and one is from 2008, so they are not very new or speedy). I have not tested my speeds with my RT-AC68U, since my home upload speed is kinda low already...

376.49_5: loss of 40 MHz on 2.4 GHz when "Auto" channel selected.

Well, then. It looks like I'm sticking with manual channel assignment. The 2.4 GHz spectrum is so crowded around me that nothing works well on it. At home it is dozens of networks. My stuff is just drowned out unless I force 40 MHz. At work? I've picked up 40+ other WiFi networks and...

Can you help me speed up OPENVPN on N66U?

This may not help you on the ASUS device, but you must remember to tweak TCP settings with OpenVPN (tweaks that are not needed when using UDP). When using OpenVPN with TCP, sndbuf and rcvbuf are supposed to default to 64K. They actually default to 8K on Windows! 8K and even 64K might be way too...

376.49_5: loss of 40 MHz on 2.4 GHz when "Auto" channel selected.

I don't remember it being like this in the previous release. Firmware 376.49_5, RT-AC68U: 2.4 GHz 802.11n is only 20 MHz when I have "Auto" chosen for the channel. If I manually set the Control Channel, then 40 MHz works fine. 5 GHz works fine in 80 MHz when set to Auto. This seems to...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.49 is out

Holy smokes, THANK YOU. I just came to this thread to try and figure out why the push "dhcp-option DNS x.x.x.x" option wasn't working right. I added a second OpenVPN server (first on UDP, second on TCP), and I noticed the configs were different. It's because the DNS push option was missing from...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.45 is out

I have an RT-AC68U. Two bugs I noticed with 3.0.0.4.376.44_0 and now 3.0.0.4.376.45_0: 1) Under "General", clicking "USB Application" causes "Updating..." to just stay on the screen (and never goes away). If I click "Cancel", then it changes to "Loading APP List" and shows all the...
