Request: Suggestions on a wireless bridge between two homes

WOW! Thank you for taking the time to post this info, it really motivates me to find these. They look great, nice interface and tools. I found a Canadian reseller that had 7 in stock, and by the time I was home and able to sit down and order them, they were out again.

Request: Suggestions on a wireless bridge between two homes

Thanks for the update and info. I’ll keep looking for the 2.4 units. Very interested to hear your experience. The good news is soon I can move the router out to the garage and greatly improve the signal. Buys me 5 months to find a paired set, before next winter.

Request: Suggestions on a wireless bridge between two homes

Update: airMAX NanoBeam 2AC 13 dBi Station This produce is not presently listed on the Canadian ubiquiti website. I called a local computer shop and they let me know it was a special order item. Pay up front, 2-4 weeks delivery, final sale. This is much less agreeable that buying directly...

2.5 G LAN - is my thinking correct?

This was a very good point - can my NAS saturate an upgraded network. I have all my large files on the NAS and use my desktop largely as a terminal. In addition, I keep my virtual drives on the NAS.

2.5 G LAN - is my thinking correct?

Thank you for your reply, both with the technical side and the voice of reason. Sometimes can it be done is the motivator rather than should it be done. I believe my NAS can put out enough data to make the upgrade reasonable. I will cost it out from parts reccomended here and see if the cost...

2.5 G LAN - is my thinking correct?

Hello, Simple question to start, I am a bit out of my depth with the detail of some articles. Goal: Setup 2.5 G LAN. Present HW: GT-AX 6000 (on super sale). Good quality 5e LAN cables in the walls, distances <30 feet, some <5 feet. I acknowledge cables may limit success/speeds. If I...

Best ASUS Router options for MESH network

Depending on what you want the wifi for in the barn, your build may vary. Most reliable solution is to run a LAN cable if possible. Close enough - Aimesh. Too far, see below. I have this build, it works, though very suboptimal given encumbrances of where I was able to put the router and...

Solved ax88u lost internet today LAN and wifi - do my logs provide a clue?

    - ISP router is in bridge mode. Then I reinstalled all the firmware on the routers and redid the configuration from factory defaults. - yes. - It seems my NAS did not log an error message that the intranet went down. - so obvious, I can't believe I omitted this step. Done. - The ISP router...
