[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.12 is now available

After upgrading to 384.12, my AC3200 has started spontaneously rebooting every few hours or so. Multiple rounds of full "nuclear reset" (holding WPS during power-on twice, and seeing the power light flashing within 5 seconds, then waiting 10 and even 20 minutes before manual reconfiguration)...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

That's funny...I was just joking with my wife a hour ago about burning sage and circling the router four times to try to get 384.4 working ;)

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Nothing weird in my password. Plus, usually (but obviously not always, given my last report) with 384.4, most devices work, but some don't, which effectively rules out it being a problem at the GUI level.

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Though I honestly enjoy tackling that sort of project, I won't have time for it for at least two weeks, sadly. Also, for the record, I just now went through another thorough factory reset cycle, without flashing new firmware (stayed with 384.4, to be clear). When I was done, I couldn't get any...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

tl;dr: I've been through multiple 384.4 installations on my RT-AC3200, but many Wi-Fi devices in my home that are perfectly happy with 384.3 are then unable to connect. I'm the guy who reported Ubuntu laptop, Ecobee thermostat and LIFX bulb Wi-Fi connection woes with 384.4 (but not 384.3) back...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

As soon as I have a chance to do that, I'll report back. Thanks, RMerlin!

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Are you saying you manually configured 384.4 several times, but couldn't get it working? If so, what version does work for you?

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Since I'm using john9527's famous User NVRAM Save/Restore Utility, and this same set of settings works with 384.3, I like to think that's not the case, but I fully appreciate you could be right on that. Sadly, I don't have the free time to configure all my port forwarding and DHCP reservations...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Okay, done. I did the following: Unplugged the USB flash drive from the RT-AC3200 Re-Uploaded 384.4 Initiated a Factory Reset from the GUI Waited for 10 minutes after reboot Turned SSH on, then turned the power switch off (I have no idea why I have to power-cycle to make SSH accept a...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

I will. Can you tell me if that 10-minute delay is for the sake of the freshly-wiped NVRAM (letting something settle?), or is just to give all software/radios a chance to spool up completely before configuring? I ask both because I want to understand, and because, for some reason I don't grasp...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Yes, I did leave the USB drive plugged in! And this was the first time in all these years of success that I had one plugged in. Assuming my wife won't frown at me too hard, I'll give that a try here shortly. Thanks!

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.4 is now available

Long-time listener, first-time caller. I've been using ASUS-merlin for years on multiple routers--thank you very much, RMerlin--and 384.4 is the first release I've ever rolled back, so here to report what I've seen. I installed 384.4 on my RT-AC3200, then did a factory reset, then migrated my...
