AC86U: Dual WAN Routing Rules - Trying to set *only* one device to use secondary WAN

Looks like this the answer. unfortunately, there's quite a lot of stuff configured currently on /24, so it would be a lot of work to reconfigure. And this is literally a single proxmox container that I'm trying to get routed on its own dedicated wan. I initially hoped I could setup a vlan for...

AC86U: Dual WAN Routing Rules - Trying to set *only* one device to use secondary WAN

I'm not sure if this is doing anything at all to be honest.

AC86U: Dual WAN Routing Rules - Trying to set *only* one device to use secondary WAN

This wouldn't work at all, you can't even apply these settings: "Source IP and Destination IP can not be ALL at the same time."

AC86U: Dual WAN Routing Rules - Trying to set *only* one device to use secondary WAN

I'm just trying to configure the dual wan options, not for load balancing or failover, I just one device to use the secondary wan interface. Everything else I'd like route thru the primary wan interface. All devices are on the same subnet. Now, I can get my one device to reliably route thru...

AC56U Dual WAN - Dedicate one WAN for gaming on a single PC

I have a 100/20mbps connection which I use for lots of things, a few different wan facing servers running, tonnes of open ports, etc, but it's never quite saturated. I also have a free 15/2.5mbps connection which I don't really use for anything. Ideally, I would use the 15/2.5 connection as one...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.45 is out

Ahhh, I should've mentioned that I'm running the RT-AC56U. The tools screen shows "HW acceleration Disabled - incompatible with: QoS" when I have QoS on. I wonder if it's possible with this device.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.45 is out

Any word on when we might see hardware accelerated QoS? I thought I read something about that going into the next builds a long time ago..

Asuswrt - Merlin: Push hostnames to openvpn clients

You can add the line in the custom configuration field under the VPN Details tab. Here's what I got for my custom config: push "dhcp-option DOMAIN blazenet" push "dhcp-option DNS 192.168.42.1"

Asuswrt - Merlin: Push hostnames to openvpn clients

I finally solved it. Turns out I had to add use the "dhcp-option DOMAIN" option to specify my search domain. I should've updated this thread but I've been on the road quite a bit lately. :)

Asuswrt - Merlin: Push hostnames to openvpn clients

I've got the OpenVPN server up and running on my AC-RT56U, it works great, but I cannot access any of the machines behind the router via their hostnames. To make things easy, I created a host table in the "/jffs/configs/hosts.add" file, and that works when I'm behind the router at home, but not...

    Connecting to Asuswrt-Merlin's OpenVPN server

Well, I think I found the problem, after trial and error, I managed to have both remnants of the 32 and 64 bit versions and got mixed up with the program files directories. Thanks for the help!

    Connecting to Asuswrt-Merlin's OpenVPN server

That's exactly what I'm trying to do. I've exported the config file, and it works fine with the old windows ovpn client v1.5.6. But I simply don't know what the client software expects me to do with the config file in v2.3.4. I've tried putting the config file in "C:\Program...

    Connecting to Asuswrt-Merlin's OpenVPN server

I'm a bit of a n00b regarding OpenVPN, but I've had the server running on my AC56U for a few months and it seems to work fine, that is from my windows laptop running the ovpn client 1.5.6. I'm not sure why I installed that particular version earlier this year, but it has worked without much...

Local host name resolution w/ OpenVPN Server

I'm running Asuswrt-Merlin 374.40 on an Asus RT-AC56U. I've got the OpenVPN server configured and working properly on the device, and I'm using the '/jffs/configs/hosts.add' file to enable name resolution for my LAN devices. Between actual LAN devices, the name resolution is working as...
