    Okay. Then you could be having issues with your uplink itself. For me, the issue would occur multiple times an hour and a refresh would cause the page to reload immediately.

    Tried accessing garbage domains on my phone's Chrome browser on WiFi and mobile data. Getting a DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN on both occasions. Chrome on Windows 10 gives the same error on WiFi.

    Yep. The exact same thing was happening to me. Have not had a single false NXDOMAIN since I disabled AiCloud. Did you start seeing the issue around the 386.1_2 update (Feb 2021)? Also, do you have AiCloud enabled?

    Alright. Will try and see if the packet drop coincides with the DNS resolution failure. Out of curiosity tho, since I have unbound and pihole's caching DNS, shouldn't repetitive queries be answered from the cache? I remember adding a "serve expired" on unbound config.

    Bypassed pihole and unbound altogether. DNS set on router WAN, the issue still persists.

    Routed all DNS requests via Cloudflare gateway from unbound with DoT for about 12 hours, but the NXDomain issue was still there. :(

    I originally started facing the issue with cloudflare as my DNS. I've also tried ISP's DNS, Google DNS, cloudflare with DoH and DoT. Faced the issue with all of them. Trying cloudflare gateway now.
