AC5300 WLAN to WLAN connectivity issues

That's unfortunate. I would really like to upgrade to a later version, but I need to be able to use Chromecast and other features. Thanks for the test.

AC5300 WLAN to WLAN connectivity issues

Anyone tried "386.9 beta 1" to see if this is fixed in the latest build?

AC5300 WLAN to WLAN connectivity issues

Same, sitting at 386.3_2 on my AC5300 until this is resolved. I can't use any of my ChromeCast devices if I upgrade.

How to add external DNS servers for isolated Guest network?

All, I would like to enable an open and isolated guest network. However, my DNS servers are internal and when isolated, there is no DNS service on this SSID. Where can I set external DNS servers that my isolated guests can use? The only way I can get this to work is to not isolate the...

[384.9_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

Ok, so I did this in /jffs/scripts/CPUkiller.sh to get the highest CPU process, check to see if it is on the troublemakers list (in this case only /usr/sbin/acsd) and if so, kill it.... #!/bin/sh # tries to kill process with highest CPU load # (if it is part of a specified list of...

[384.9_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

Merlin, thanks! However, I can't select the channels with the Tri-Band Smart Connect enabled, I can't set the channels manually. They are all forced to Auto. Would you recommend disabling the Tri-Band Smart Connect or maybe writing a cron that would check for this process to be over 10% of...

[384.9_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

I keep getting /usr/sbin/acsd running at 50% (one whole core). It does not happen at first, but if I leave the router running for a few hours the CPU jumps and stays there. I can kill acsd with no apparent issues, and this fixes the problem for a while, but within a few hours it returns. I do...

The infamous USB 3.0 issue - OK on stock vs. NOT ok on Merlin

As an update, Merlin's Alpha build 284.9_alpha 1 seems to have resolved this. There is a new option "Added USB3.0/2.0 mode switch setting in Administration --> System --> USB Settings." Enabling it on this new menu option resolved it, my USB is working as a v3 device again.

USB 3 not working on 384.8_2 on AC5300

Ok, I spent hours search on USB3 issues before posting, I never saw your post, so I created a new one. Glad to see I'm not the only one having the issue. Hope Merlin can resolve it.

USB 3 not working on 384.8_2 on AC5300

When I toggle the switch to USB 3, I get this: No attempt is made to even mount the device with USB 3 enabled. This is currently a 3.1 Sandisk Ultra FIT drive, but I have tested with two others that are 3.0, same result. Hope this helps....

USB 3 not working on 384.8_2 on AC5300

Greggy101, Who uses Apply? I just hit enter..... Anyway, I ran through the process again gathering screeners. With USB 2 set in GUI: Continued on next reply....

USB 3 not working on 384.8_2 on AC5300

When I enable USB 3 support on Administration-->System-->USB mode to USB 3, the rear port no longer tries to mount. The light on my USB stick lights up, so it still gets power, but the router does not even attempt to mount it, by looking at the log. If I drop this back down to USB 2, works...
