Help me pick a new router?

Actually, this may turn into a troubleshooting question. I think the problem is with the attached NTFS drive. I am seeing this in the error log... Nov 26 16:51:01 kernel: __find_get_block_slow() failed. block=4809121304, b_blocknr=514154008 Nov 26 16:51:01 kernel: b_state=0x00000020, b_size=512...

Help me pick a new router?

My ASUS RT-AC87U is on the fritz, and it's getting annoying. It's ~2 years old, so no warranty (I assume, anyway. And I opened it to check if it was dying because it was dusty, so there's that too). Anyway, I have several 5 GHz devices that I like to use on the network. Internet speed is...

Netgear Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Smart WiFi Router (R9000)

Because my desire for the latest and greatest almost overrode my common sense :P the x10 is totally overkill for me, and completely unnecessary. I'm just frustrated with the issues my current router has.

I think it may have actually been a partially corrupted boot table. I ran chkdsk on it connected to my PC and it fixed some errors. Seems to be working now...thanks for the replies - if it fails again, I'll be back!

Unable to access NAS since upgrading to Win10?

Ah, I meant I was using the attached hard drive as network storage. Not a true NAS, I guess. So - dumb question here: how do I go to the IP and not the name? If I type 192.168.1.1 in the file explorer, it just launches the routers web page...

Unable to access NAS since upgrading to Win10?

I am running firmware 380.58 on an AC87R - I have a Samsung 4 TB drive connected as a NAS, and since upgrading to Win10 I've been unable to connect to it. It seems to be a folder permission issue? I can view the top level of folder names, when I try to access one I get the error "Access is denied."

Where are those firmwares available for download? The latest one is causing that same issue for me that you were facing...

external drive and Cannot allocate memory

This is EXACTLY the issue I've been having with my Samsung D3. Searched everywhere and couldn't find any solutions, except this post. However, I can't find the old firmware to download. Can anyone provide a link?
