Lanner Vs Supermicro Barebones units (Intel Atom C2xxx or C3xxx)

I don't know anything about the Lanner boxes, but I am very happy with the SuperMicro SuperServer E300-8D I am using for OPNsense. It's a very well built little box. I really like that it has IPMI. Very convenient for doing OOB config changes and other tasks.

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 Beta is now available

Beta 2 is running great on my 88 in AP mode, my 87 in gateway/AP mode, and my 86 in gateway/AP mode. Thank you for all your work, Merlin!

[Beta 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.2 Beta is now available

The 86U is actually 4x4 on 5GHz, while the 2.4GHz is only 3x3 on this router. See here: https://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-reviews/33158-asus-rt-ac86u-dual-band-ac2900-wireless-router-reviewed

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 Beta is available

I am seeing the same errors on my 88U running Beta 2.

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

Just a note on this... The port report does appear to work correctly on my 88U, but is reversed on my 87U. However, I believe the 87U has its ports reversed internally, so I think this is actually working correctly for the 87U. Maybe it is a bug limited to just the 3200U that needs to be corrected?

    IPv6 Passthrough vs Flet's

I have AT&T U-Verse via an NVG589 set to IP-Passthrough and my RT-AC87U works great when IPV6 is set to Native. I am surprised your setup isn't working in Native mode.

    DHCP Setting

I had to do the same when I installed AB Solution/pixelserv, so you are probably on the right track. I believe pixelserv is set up to point at 192.168.1.2 in our configurations.

Adding wired LAN connections via switch to RT AC87U

I have five switches (3 managed and 2 unmanaged) behind my RT-AC88U and had the same setup behind my RT-AC87U previously. No issues at all.

    IPv6 Not working AC5300

I have not yet tried the above suggestion, but I can confirm that changing the Client ID, per the below link, allows me to grab an IPV6 address every time. https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin/issues/1160

    IPv6 Not working AC5300

Turns out I had just gotten lucky when I got that IPV6 address previously. Still having the same difficulty obtaining another after a modem reboot today. So, Alpha 3 did not fix it for me, either.

[Test build] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 alpha builds

^^^ This. Tools-->Other Settings does not appear on either my AC87U or my AC88U with Alpha 3. This is what I see on both routers:

    IPv6 Not working AC5300

I had tried turning off the IPV6 firewall and it made no difference: prior to loading Alpha 3 today, I was not getting an IPV6 address. Also, my problems started further back than the firmware you cited. I believe my issues began with 380.60 Beta 2. See the change log below. I believe the IPV6...

    IPv6 Not working AC5300

I am having the same issue with my RT-AC88U for the past several months; it does not get assigned an IPV6 address from Comcast. It used to work just fine. I could get an IPV6 address every time one was requested by the router. After a firmware upgrade several months ago, I would have to force...

[Test build] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 Busybox 1.25.1 test builds

I am running pretty basic setups, but no issues on either of my routers after 24 hours.
