    ASUS AX68U 5GHz Band Dropping / Disappearing

I just have an AX68U as a router, no mesh or anything. The 5 GHz used to crap out on a random basis. Sometimes within a few hours, sometimes in a week or two. Since I updated to beta 2 on the 19th, and now the released version, I haven't had any drops. Assuming ASUS implemented some sort of a...

    Release ASUS RT-AX68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.49479 (2022/06/23)

So right after I update to the Merlin release, now there's an ASUS release with even newer code. :(

Allow guest network devices to access each other

    Looks like this works. Thanks!

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 Beta is now available

I don't see any benefit for turning on private addresses for use on your own LAN. You're not tracking via MAC ID and you know what phone it is, so there's no need for privacy.

Allow guest network devices to access each other

And they still will not be able to access the main network?

Allow guest network devices to access each other

I have an RT-AX68U running 386.7_beta2. I have a main network with wired and wireless devices. I also have guest network 1 setup (with separate 2.4 and 5.0 SSIDs). I have Access Intranet set to disable. I see that the guest network devices run their own subnets. I use the guest network for...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 Beta is now available

It's working on my RT-AX68U. I did notice there was a delay in seeing the new IP address in the Client List on the main Network Map page. It took maybe minute for it to be updated.

    RT-N66U trouble with newer firmware

Due to complaints of other family members about slow speeds and dropped connections, I went back to the old sdk5 firmware. Ugh. More pain. Restoring the old config file didn't work (no errors, it just didn't change anything), so I had to reconfigure everything by hand again. So between that...

    RT-N66U trouble with newer firmware

So I tried 380.57 at 3 AM today. I got very fast speeds; faster than with the old sdk5 firmware. But one speed test just crapped-out entirely. I'd rather have 80% of the speed with 100% reliability. What are the differences in the wireless drivers between: 3.0.0.4_374.35_4-sdk5 (I think...

    RT-N66U trouble with newer firmware

That's what I did (although WPS is on). I have all my settings written down, and I did a factory reset and manually reentered everything. I even told the Win8.1 laptop and the iPhones to "forget" the network and then reconnected. The 2.4 GHz-only laptop sometimes transfers at 3 Mbps, other...

    RT-N66U trouble with newer firmware

I've been running 3.0.0.4_374.35_4-sdk5 for the past 2 years; it works reasonably well. Every time I try to upgrade to newer firmware, I have problems. Today I upgraded to 380.57_0 and clients are dropping off the 5 GHz, and the 2.4 GHz clients have slow/erratic transfers. Does anyone have...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 is out

I upgraded my RT-N66U to 374.43 and my smart TV would continually drop its wireless connection, making it impossible to play videos streamed from my PC. Went back to 374.35_4-sdk5 and all is well. So I wasted a total of 4 hours trying to do upgrades to this router. I give up.

Does ez-ipupdate work with Asus DDNS?

Even dyndns required a manual login to keep the name from expiring. What I really want is for the router to update pairNIC automatically.

Asus RT-AC66u NAT loopback is not working

And I see you have an AC router, but I have an N router. So my comments wouldn't apply anyway. Derp! But glad you got it fixed.
