Actually, trying to investigate this is causing me problems again. In the usb application list; download master is saying 'install', implying that it isn't installed. Amule is uploading all my files again though and I can't kill the amule processes in from RTMerlin's cmd tab as before.
fun.
It is totally flaky but when it works, it works well.
What file system did you format your drive to? I found Ext3 or almost any other linux FS has given me less problems that NTFS. Can you not just reinstall download master? Your files should still be there provided you don't reformat the drive.
Do you also have a NAT modem, maybe your modem is also a wireless AP. I had this same issue but my isp flashed my provided modem to bridge mode which resolved the issue
Thanks for the info Merlin, I really appreciate your time on this.
I will get in contact with CL-Jeremy to see if this is something they will consider for future DM updates. Though I'm not sure how possible this is if transmission is closed source? Maybe there are other ways around it.

No answer was not found to be honest as the fix to stop the service from loading each time caused a loop and therefore couldn't be stopped.
Since the other thread died, I was asking about different routes of blocking amule in this thread, for example, what ports can i block that will stop amule...
Would anyone have any idea how to block amule? As the firmware seems to do nothing about stopped it uploading constantly then we must be able to block the ports that it uses somehow?
Just a quick update on this, I flashed the new stock 3.0.0.4.260 firmware and now I am not having the issue with amule.
I will have to keep an eye on it for a while but for the moment it seems to be fixed
Hi Merlin, no luck on this yet.
I copied the edited S50downloadmaster file, rebooted and it is still asking me to install download master. Every time it gets reinstalled, the amule service starts back up.

to be more precise. When I reboot the modem after copying the edited file, I...
Seems to be in a loop. When i copy the edited S50downloadmaster file to the correct directory, it then asks me to install download master in the usb disk page. Then when i reinstall it, I have to copy the new edited file.
Strange thing, now i can't access download master or add torrents, it is asking me for the changed port in the Download master utility and can't access it in the browser. When I edited the S50downloadmaster file there were 3 instances of:
I deleted all three, went back to the USB disk menu...
I'm not sure if I tried this the correct way but I copied the following line into the Run CMD tab in your firmware
and got
Now I'm just wondering if I would have root access but default
