[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 (and 384.13_2) are now available

Hi, I had the same problem after upgrading from 384.13 to 384.14 on my AC-86U. Weaker WiFi signal on both bands and lower throughput (150 instead of 250 mbit/s). Tried reboot, changed the TX settings but didn’t work. I just changed the host name in the LAN settings and now all is well. Don’t...

Unknown MAC address uploading lots of data

Thanks, I'll dig into the modem and see what I find there. Just one last question: upload in the overview means from the router to device, right?

Unknown MAC address uploading lots of data

My router is connected to a modem from my cable provider. Sometimes they update the firmware remotely, and then it is no longer just a modem but a router too. It does have a completely different MAC address written on it though. It can then also be used by subscribers of the same provider to log...

Unknown MAC address uploading lots of data

Yes, I sometimes use my openvpn server on the router to connect to my LAN when I'm away. But I'm at home now, and it just did about 800 MB...

Unknown MAC address uploading lots of data

Thanks, that helps a bit. What direction is the upload in the menu? Is that from the device to internet or from the router to the device?

Unknown MAC address uploading lots of data

Yes thanks, I had found that too but I couldn't find what devices they make so I can check what I have. It doesn't ring a bell. It also does iTunes and iMessage.. weird

Unknown MAC address uploading lots of data

Hi all, since a few days I see on the traffic monitoring tab that an unknown MAC address is uploading (nothing down) lots of data, see the screenshot. This MAC address doesn't show in my network list, nor on my managed switch. I have tried to MAC-filter it it so it would stop sending data but...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

Thanks for the PM Merlin, it turns out that doing this through Safari did somehow not work, but in Chrome it accepted the CA.crt.. I have my OpenVPN server now up and running again. And thanks for the great service!

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

I have now uploaded the test version of the software (RT-AC86U_384.10_1-g9410bcd604) to my AC-86U and used L&LD's protocol to do so (except the SSID and b/g protection part). No different behaviour than with the original build. I can copy all the keys/certs to the GUI, but the first time I then...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

Does this part mean that the CA I entered (4096 bit) was too long and cut off, rendering it invalid and then replaced by the Asus key?: c2d2fd7890 rc: openvpn: increase interface queue length from 100 to 1000 bytes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

Thanks a lot. I will try this week and post my findings. I used my own certs/keys on server1. Tried the Asus Version on server2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

I have not yet had time to try the resets/setup described yesterday. But what I did was upgrade a brand new AC-86U to 384.10. Enabled the JFFS part and rebooted. Then I copied all the keys and certificates from the AC-66U to the AC-86U through the GUI. Clicked save (checked after that and all...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

I also have problems with the OpenVPN server as mentioned in an earlier post. I couldn’t install my own CA in the router in any way so I tried to use the built in functionality. Got a connection but no access to the LAN nor internet. Left the router on this way for the night. The next...
