RT-BE88U Main Router and Single BT10

Both are Wifi 7 so I don't think 6Mhz is the issue. His router has one 5Ghz band while the BT10 has two. I don't think that extra band on just the AP will make any difference.

RT-BE88U Main Router and Single BT10

If everything being transferred between the router & the BT10 is confined to those two bands, I'm not sure there is any advantage of that third band with an AP. If having that third band is important, you'll need to make that BT10 the router. Personally, I would save some money, get another...

RT-BE88U Main Router and Single BT10

Pretty sure in AiMesh, the main router determines everything, meaning if the main router is dual band, only two bands will be on the mesh. Only way to get that 3rd band is make the BT10 an AP or the main router.

I'm about to give up on the BQ16, Inconsistent WiFi speeds.

I bought the 3 pack from BestBuy....Almost $1,500. I spent a good 15 hours trying different things & then I tried chatting with Asus who directed me to BestBuy for support! I thought that was ridiculous and returned it on the third day. It scared me. I was afraid of getting stuck with a...

I'm about to give up on the BQ16, Inconsistent WiFi speeds.

Honestly, I'm not concerned. From CNet article... “TP-Link has a secure, vertically integrated and US-owned international supply chain,” a TP-Link representative told CNET. “Nearly all products sold in the United States are manufactured in Vietnam.” I'm glad your BE30000 is working well. As...

I'm about to give up on the BQ16, Inconsistent WiFi speeds.

I bought the BE30000 and returned it in three days. My 5ghz speeds were as expected but 2.4 on a 1g symmetrical was giving me 40m down and 5 up. It was literally unusable. That was with an out of the box configuration, 5 feet from the router. I had been on Asus for over a decade & it seemed...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

Not really. Normal price on Amazon is actually less than the sale price at BestBuy. They have it for $460. I just needed it right then to bring everything back online.

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

It is the BE11000 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/tp-link-be11000-whole-home-multi-gig-tri-band-wi-fi-7-mesh-router-system-3-pack-white/6578378.p?skuId=6578378 So far, it is quite literally plug & play.

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

Just wanted to follow up. The Deco just works. It has some things that I don't like but no deal breakers. For example, I don't see a way to split 2.4 & 5ghz but I was able to create a guest network with just 2.4. Another thing. You get a main, guest & IOT SSID. That's it. It's way more...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

Not to bash Best Buy and I don't for a minute think I'm an IT guru, but they have never impressed me. Fine for backing up a hard drive and reinstalling Windows but diagnosing a wifi problem probably related to a buggy firmware....Please! Another thing is you would hope ASUS would want the...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

This morning I tried a chat with Asus tech support & their system told me to use Bestbuy for support! I boxed it up & returned it. Too much money to hope they'll fix it all one day. I need it to work now. Got a TPLINK Deco 3 station for 1/3 of the Asus. The interface is smartphone only &...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

Good suggestion but I should have mentioned all 2.4 devices have great signals, just no throughput and now that I think about it, everything connected right up on first boot but the cameras could not keep up. I just figure it needed awhile to find the best node per device.

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

So I got my 3 pack of BT10 yesterday. Funny, I plugged it in & it just worked great. All I did was enable IPV6 (Passthrough) and create two guest networks. I intentionally left it as stock as I could. Now, my 2.4 speeds on the guest is 40 down/23 up and the speed is so bad on the primary...
