I’ve also tried to create a self signed certificate, but neither Chrome or Firefox will accept them.
I have used the Let's Encrypt in the past. However, it is not working now with either Chrome or Firefox browsers. I'm also using a no-ip DDNS when using OpenVPN.
My understanding is that OpenVPN does not encrypt all traffic, just the sign-in. I should be able to secure all traffic using SSL certificate.
