[RT-AX86U] Consistent Crashes on Merlin 3.88.1 and 3.22.2

Thank you for the reply - I have reset using WPS, which I didn't actually know about before - I was using the RESET button; I assume the WPS method does a more thorough NVRAM / JFFS scrub, or you wouldn't have specified it. I'll stay on Merlin for the short term, as the kernel versions etc...

[RT-AX86U] Consistent Crashes on Merlin 3.88.1 and 3.22.2

Hi all, I've been running merlin 3.86.5_2 for well over a year with no issues, but decided to add a stock AC-66U-B1 as an AiMesh node, so thought it was time to upgrade. I am now experiencing farily consistent crashes with both versions and have no real idea what the underlying root cause is -...

Solved RT-AX86U Reboot Loops In Merlin 386.7_2

Honestly, the crash dump is useless. I only used it as a marker for "something bad happened" - the last log before the restart being an error from the kernel was the smoking gun. But yeah, seems to have solved it. Only annoyance is having to fully disable ipv6 on my k3s nodes. For some reason...

Solved RT-AX86U Reboot Loops In Merlin 386.7_2

No, it isn't. But it is the last message in the log before the next boot process starts logging, and it does come from the kernel referring to an error processing IPv6 multicast, when IPv6 was disabled. I don't know how crashlogs are implemented. If the kernel message is the bottom of the...

Solved RT-AX86U Reboot Loops In Merlin 386.7_2

Hey all - I'm new here and I've been trying to read up all I can on reasons for my 86's constant reboot after moving from stock to Merlin firmware. I went through all of the normal shanenaigans - multiple wipes, reflashes, building config from fresh, etc. No dice. I set my output to debug and...

    RT-AX86U random reboots

Hey all - new here and seeing the same issue. I've dug out the most recent crash logs and I believe it may be due to hosts that supoport IPv6 making requests of a router that has them disabled: ... May 5 06:05:08 crashlog: <2>CPU2: stopping May 5 06:05:08 crashlog: <4>CPU: 2 PID: 0 Comm...
