Release ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.49873 (2022/08/04)

I performed a dirty upgrade two days ago from the latest beta; so far so good here. That said, I'm using wired backhaul.

Release ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.48706 (2022/05/03)

Yes, it appears to still contain the IoT fix, which makes sense given the build number.

Updated here about two hours ago. So far so good.

Release ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.48706 (2022/05/03)

A surprising lack of bugfixes; particularly given the version number jump. I would also assume that this incorporates all of the fixes from the prior 9.0.0.4.386.46980 beta that was released in February. Let's hope there's more to this one than what's in the changelog.

    ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 9.0.0.4.386.46980 (2022/02/22)

You can use it for clients if you are not using it for backhaul.

    ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 9.0.0.4.386.46980 (2022/02/22)

Yes, the issue has been completely solved for me. And it was extremely prevelant prior, across multiple versions of firwmare, and even multiple Asus devices (I initially encountered the issue on an RT-AX88U, and upgraded because of it).

    ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 9.0.0.4.386.46980 (2022/02/22)

Same here. IoT has been completely stable on my end.

    ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 9.0.0.4.386.46980 (2022/02/22)

Installed last night. I was running the 9.0.1.4_386_46197 beta before. IoT devices seem stable, though admittedly I installed it right before going to bed. Speeds seem good. Getting my usual 1.4gbps down / 40mbps up. Wireless throughput feels unchanged. The only difference I'm noticing is that...

    ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 9.0.0.4.386.46980 (2022/02/22)

Hopefully by "This beta version fixed someIoT compatibility issues" they mean the frequent and constant drops of certain IoT devices that have been plaguing users across Asus devices for over half a year...

Release New Official XT8 Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386.46061

See this was just released on January 14th: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/ASUS%20ZenWiFi%20AX%20(XT8)/HelpDesk_BIOS/ About to give it a spin. The changelog mentions stability improvements, which I hope is in reference to the rampant issues with certain brands of IoT devices dropping. I've...

    RT-AX88U wifi woes

The dropping connection behavior is a well documented problem on here in the event you're referencing IoT devices: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/xt8-constant-disconnects.74905/

Newer Firmware breaks TP-Link Kasa Switches

After years with no issues on an RT-AX88U, I started having the same issue with all my Kasa devices. I had some other IoT devices that were also dropping, though not as frequently (such as some nest cams). I moved to an XT8 hoping it would solve it, and it didn't. After trying tons of different...

Newer Firmware breaks TP-Link Kasa Switches

This is a long-running issue that I also have. I had an Asus RT-AX88U prior to my AX8 that also started exhibiting the same behavior. After insane amounts of troubleshooting, the only thing that fixed it for me was running the beta firmware, as my XT8 won't allow me to rollback to much earlier...

Release Asus ZenWiFi XT8 - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45934

Anyone know if this fixes the IoT device disconnects? I'm finally stable on the beta 9.0.1.4_386_46197 beta firmware, and am feeling pretty risk averse at this point.

    XT8 constant disconnects

Following up here to confirm that my IoT devices are finally stable after several months, thanks to the 9.0.1.4_386_46197 beta firmware mentioned above.
