I've looked through your script and I'm impressed with what you've created.
I might test it someday, but then again, I'm not sure I want to "drive a truck" when my goal is to "drive a small car" 😁
One question: why use ping to monitor the status of a WG tunnel when there's a solid criterion: if...
Would it be too much to ask for a feature in amtm that would allow users to add one or two private scripts to the amtm menu?
I'm just throwing out an idea ;)
Completely disagree.
My question specifically concerns the amtm configuration, specifically how to add a private script to the amtm menu, regardless of what the private script does.
How would sharing my script for testing answer my question about adding a private script to the amtm menu?
Are you...
Hi,
I have created a kind of “extension” that allows WireGuard clients to be managed in a more active way, and I am wondering whether a script like this can be included in the amtm menu so that, when I start amtm, I can launch my own menu script using a dedicated key.
I could not find any...
So again:
Personally, I think the best "solution" (or rather a "fix") to this problem is to have a script that can be triggered in boot sequence that would mount a drive if the OS itself did not do it, but as you can read above - no one has been able to provide such a solution, which is amazing...
Hi,
I would like to point out that it may be the case that a specific enclosure model that may be reported as "working" for someone else may not "work" for you with your router.
Why?
Because, as I recall from the discussions in this thread, one Asus router model may differ in some aspects, which...
I have set Perpetual Backup Retention and then: Purge Backups older than 90 days but it doesn't seem to work.
I see in target folder 114 subfolders:
Even when I count number of folders starting from 03.07.2024 up to today it is 109 folders = 109 backups - still more than 90.
Error log (ve)...
I found this thread while looking for answers from people who might have the same issue mounting a USB SSD as I do.
Some time ago I have started this thread: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/ssd-drive-not-detected-mounted-on-rt-ax88u-pro-after-routers-reboot.91000/
and I did not found...
Result of command /sbin/udevtrigger --subsystem-match=block is nothing.
No output in ssh session window, no single line in syslog related to this command (selected debug level) and SSD drive not mounted.
Thank you to all who posted here providing valuable information.
Conclusion is as follow: the issue with SSD drives not being mounted on router's reboot is caused by combinations of:
1. routers are different in speed of boot (how fast power is delivered to USB port)
2. some SATA enclosures may...
OK, thanks for reporting your status.
Then it is something with my router.
I'm going to switch back to use SanDisk USB Pendrive 32GB as it "works" and I need to forget about USB SSD disk with enclosure.
Maybe it's a specific hardware problem with my router? Some detail like power not appearing...
I don't have a closure with power so can't test. Of course I could buy such enclosure but it would be 3rd device that I would need to buy just to confirm or deny the issue is with my router's USB port (hardware problem) or with AsusWRT-Merlin.
I did the second suggested test: I powered off...
Yes!
That was what I asked: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/amtm-step-by-step-install-guide-l-ld.56237/post-916447
but then, as you can read next post below the one I pasted above:
"If the router does not detect the drive during boot a script will not help."
So who is right? :)
Is it possible...
