Yet another malware block script using ipset (v4 and v6)

Is there an easy way to import this into Windows? My router is no longer supported, so I had to switch back to stock(Asus 66AC, rev 1). Thanks a lot! PS! I know that there is support for xterm in windows, but not sure if this will do the trick.

NTP blocked; Alternatives to ntpd for updating time?

That's what I mentioned, NTPD had a big flaw a few years back, it got fixed, but most probably could be due to dos. Like the SMTP was blocked by my previous ISP, due to avoiding trojans/viruses/botnets to send spam. This again was a huge issue back in the mid 2000's, when people used...

Yet another malware block script using ipset (v4 and v6)

Thanks a lot for the answer! The AC66U works as a charm here, so I'll do the same as you. If I or a friend make any changes to your code, I'll sure mention you. Wish you the best with the family, I'd rather have kids and a wife, than all this spare time. Others say that's something I'll regret...

NTP blocked; Alternatives to ntpd for updating time?

I can't take you seriously when you're taking someone elses code and then publishing it as your own. Like parts of Skynet. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/poll-for-the-greater-good-who-wants-access-to-unique-country-block-code.46560/ Open-source is open-source but taking credit from taking...

NTP blocked; Alternatives to ntpd for updating time?

I found that one guy in Denmark had NTP blocked off, that's really weird. That's due to ISP, has nothing to do with the law. Could have been due to the attacks on NTPD's when they found a bug.

Well nice to see you drop by, even tough I haven't been here for long. Well, family first, then the rest! You have my favorite Distro icon and name. RH 5.0 was the first Linux Distro I ran then Slackware 7 off my first server. I'd like to pick up on this, but I have lack of knowledge since at...

NTP blocked; Alternatives to ntpd for updating time?

Makes no sense that ISP blocks NTP, there are tons of ntpd out there. Open the console in win, enter: @echo %time% %date% > whatever.txt Or you can check this out: https://thisisyetanotherblog.wordpress.com/2016/08/19/esp8266-get-date-and-time-from-http-header/ , the guy uses google.de, but...

NTP blocked; Alternatives to ntpd for updating time?

You can use GPS-data to fetch the time, you can fetch it off local devices, but there's no option for this in the shell alone. I can't remember since this was waaaay back.

Sad to hear Redhat is gone, this was pretty smart. Is there any use of the script? I think Skynet is overkill for my needs and there are so many sites that disable access with any adblock so I can just forget that part. The country blocking is overkill as well. Think I only need to stop m$...

RT-AC66U, simple & fast as possible

Hi, I'm new to the forums. Have been looking around, but seems like I don't need anything anymore, none the less that the router isn't used that much. 1. Switched till wired 2. I don't need to have anything attached(HDD, USB) 3. I'm just a home user, so I don't need a supreme fw 4. No need for...
