Slow 5GHz-2 performance following upgrade ZenWiFi AX to 45898

I recently upgraded my ZenWiFi AX system to firmware 45898. Everything is working fine except I am seeing slow WiFi speeds on 5GHz-2. Whereas previously I was getting 750Mbps, I am now lucky to get 350Mbps. I have attached screen shots of the 5GHz config and the professional screens. Anyone...

    Release XT8 New Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25790

I just received my new ASUS ZenWiFi AX XT8 set from NewEgg (shoutout to NewEgg because I received them 24 hours after ordering!). I powered down the old XT8's with the dodgy firmware (3.0.0.4.386_25790) and installed the new XT8's which came factory installed with 3.0.0.4.386_25524. 30 minutes...

    Release XT8 New Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25790

That's the good advice I just didn't take. I gave my old Apple Airport Extreme's to my son in Los Angeles. I won't be making that mistake again. I have just ordered another two pack of the XT8 in black and when they arrive, I'll RMA the current set and when I get them back from ASUS, that's...

    Release XT8 New Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25790

Thanks for that. I’ll send it in for repairs. Of course the next question is what the hell we do for Wi-Fi in the meantime. Fairly top of the list in terms of required features with networks / Wi-Fi is reliability. This ASUS stuff just seems flakey. So I think I’ll be going with a...

    Release XT8 New Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25790

I did. Twice. Held it down until the light went kind of purple / pink. Still didn't work.

    Release XT8 New Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25790

Okay, I'm at my wits end. I have downgraded to Version 3.0.0.4.386.25524 and performed a factory reset. I still have the following problems: I still cannot rename client devices. When I try it immediately reverts back to the discovered name I still cannot add family members. When I try, it...

    Release XT8 New Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25790

I did use the reset button several times. Held the button on power up, waited until the lights went off, powered off and powered on again.

    Release XT8 New Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25790

That's what I'm doing. I enter text to replace the previous name and click away from the newly entered text. It then goes back to the main menu and when I check the name again, it's gone back to the original found name. Same issue on the iPhone app. Gremlins!

    Release XT8 New Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25790

One week after my miserable firmware update experience, I am still suffering from the following: I can't rename clients either via the web UI or the iPhone app I can't add family members via the iPhone app It's time to go back to the previous version of the firmware. Does anyone have a step...

    Release XT8 New Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25790

I went through this hell yesterday. Eventually I disconnected both router and node and factory reset them both. I then brought up the router by itself, configured it, connected to the internet gateway and eventually got it up and running. I then added the node to the mesh and it worked...

    Release XT8 New Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25790

I've had enough of it this evening and will have another go at it tomorrow morning, which will include a very strongly worded email to ASUS. Cleary someone at ASUS doesn't understand the concept of testing before release. I just want to back to the previous version of firmware. At least it...

    Release XT8 New Firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25790

So I performed the firmware update to 25790. Oh my GOD what a total disaster. First, the routers wouldn't allow me to login either from the iPhone app or from the web client. Then I performed a hard reset on both nodes and it took FOUR TIMES to get them back online again. Now the web client...
