    I purchased the 88u when it first came out, so I'd imagine I have the old chipset. Is this something Asus will correct for us? Any suggestions on getting an updated version? Knowing ASUS they will tell me to send in my 88u and maybe three weeks later I'll receive a 'repaired' model.

    Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. It really is a shame that marketed selling points, eye-popping graphics and all, turn out to be-- as you said-- a gimmick. It's a great router, and I guess I'm happy with the adapter... but not gaining any throughput advantage by going with a 4 antennae...
